i think the nurse isn't a professional in this field, i should read it again to confirm. anyway so far it seems to me she's like a receptionist or helper. or maybe they have different kind of education there in japan where someone from different health department can work in different department.. maybe she's not from psych. well it's a small clinic and they don't need a specific qualifications for a nurse, dr yowai already got it all. what i always have in mind when i am reading a modern jpn manga is their social situations: low birth rate, less human resource, so many workplaces seem to always hiring and it's easy to get part time job... so about that too they aren't so picky for non critical job...

on another side my country has a problem where over qualified people work for job that doesn't require graduate university and so so because saturated human resources and lack of growing work field. def a lot of people working in field unrelated to their major everywhere, so if you think about it, actually aren't there a lot of jobs that you can do if you're just trained for several months, or learning on the go like this nurse?? anyway it def font need years of college and debt

This is not bad I think but I dislike the premise that pretty female knight get a lot of male attention... like why a pretty girl can't just be a knight and have wholesome relationship with coworkers? this feel anti female-male friendship .... moreover sorry to say, the girl's personality is a little bit on the plainer side? i mean it's not a personality that seem to take male attention, it's a personality that good as big sister or female friend... it's ok if she got some admirers but to get all the top male as admirers?? it's just feel forced. and again I wish girlie can just be a proud knight and seen as a knight rather than a woman...

I'm still chapter 4 but I already can see how unserious this story will be. She is a blatant mary sue character and has no charm to make it a tiny bit believable. a strong knight literally faint because she was too cute?? oh please. it's not my kind of comedy
she's also that kind of "simple minded" fantasy character that being 300 years old is equal of being 3 years old. there's zero nuance in characterization, it's all cartoonish so far.
I would be surprised if later it turned out she's smart... it's just too late and unbelievable to believe it
so overall it's kind of brainless story you read while turning off your brain, and the highlight of the story are how strong and loved mc are (with handsome and capable people around her). so since i dislike her character already it's unbearable. kind of surprised this kind of story can get a 9... ig nowadays rating is not trustworthy

but the double jealousy and misunderstanding ain't cool. I know japanese love that kind of theme but I never understand why
overall it has very different feeling from volume 1. I think volume 1 is so effortlessly hot and whole it's hard to replicate. basically chiaki and ai's story ended there.
i think volume 2 should be a spin off instead with chiaki and ai as the side characters, or inspiring couple. anyway that's what i get.
if they still want to make chiaki x ai story, I think it'll be interesting to explore more on the professional's side. for example chiaki still hasn't accomplished his designer dream. chiaki worked hard to be a named desginer while ai has been more busy. ai has no progress on the school and bc he's busy he has to stop going there but he secretly practice by himself. they still met secretly and done the deed in public bathroom like in this volume. then chiaki has to work with another model possibly that man who seem to dislike ai. i think if misunderstanding happen there it will be more natural bc the new guy directly replace ai as model while working closely with chiaki. i think his personality is like the old chiaki who was prickly it will be fun to see them become friends after they worked hard together... i ended up writing a fanfic
in my vision the story will be more fast-paced / using time skip; because we need chiaki to be semi professional here.
one day chiaki and ai got photographed in public. so they have to pretend that chiaki is a new designer that will collab with ai, but ai's manager/team come up with a challenge that chiaki has to make more professional works (or making name for himself a bit) first. so chiaki somehow has to work with that model (mizuki). anyway after they got close after a lot of frictions, chiaki introduced punk to mizuki and mizuki began to like punk. (punk is important theme of this story why there's barely any punk in this volume).
anyway chiaki and mizuki will have good chemistry, chiaki will feel a bit like ai who taught old chiaki new stuff, this time chiaki is the teacher to mizuki (about punk though). ai will be terribly jealous but it's suit the name punk triangle, there has to be pseudo triangle here. I mean ai is jealous but we readers can see that mizuki is bottom material lol and they're just two besties. miki can show up as mizuki's love interest, miki will be already a professional designer and not in the same night school as chiaki (i think author using the design school as center is limiting the story potential).
anyway there can be nice side quest/mini arc with miki and mizuki without sidelining ai and chiaki. so the story can become a long series....
overall in my vision, ai will not be as much plot-relevant except becoming chiaki's major morivator ah and provide fan service sometimes. imho since chiaki is already a good protagonist it's good enough to focus on him. there will be still ai crumbs as model, i really think ai is too hot and too precious to be in every panel. so, making scarcity out of him will be more exciting. and you know, make up a new distance to make him hotter.... although reader already see his clumsy side as enaga, it will still works to give back some mysterious aura and unreachable aura back to ai... then as motivation ai ask chiaki to go to a date and they can reminisce about the past while also having another episode of partying at night... good enough fan service.

ajin wasn't that much of a failure. it's easy to guess that she has mental health issue. how hard it is to just talk to her or bring her to see a therapist? it's insane to throw away years of their investment because parents don't believe mental health's is a thing ..... having a child as investment/trophy is bad in the first place, but I just want to add that there are so many layers of ignorance beside that too.
well although if they believe in mental health in the first place they wouldn't treat their child as a mere investment/trophy..... now it makes sense
anyway to me, korean people personality is so frustrating (as i've seen in modern setting webtoon so idk IRL). they often cursed even to their good friends, although as endearment it always gives me aggressive and toxic tsundere vibe. basically almost everyone here is like that, dojun, bloomie's sister, and bloomie's cousin.
so it seems their love language is hard love but often it can't be differentiated with toxic treatment (their word is still hurtful, yes you dojin). on the other hand people can claim their toxic treatment as hard love. so people like ajin for so long thought that her mom still love her.
There are Asian parents irl who don't believe in mental health. I have a friend who has depression, and her parents refused to let her get medicated, so she's just learned to deal with it herself. She's doing well right now though, so it's not like that ruined her life or anything.
Some parents refuse to take their kids to see doctors for mental health and don't believe there's "anything wrong" with their child. I once told my dad that I have DID (dissociative identity disorder) and he just straight up asked me to stop telling him about it cuz he doesnt believe that there's "anything wrong" with me. Although now, we're at an understanding that I have it, but I think he's still dubious about it.

but story wise I think it's perfect? i am generally prefer faster pace and the story is it. mc still hasn't recovered his full memory but we readers get a glimpse of past conspiracy (and tbh it's guessable if you're familiar with guide verse).
it's def far better than this BL webtoon i read where everyone remember but author forced it so much to be mystery so no one said anything even after 50+ chapters and instead new problem come up... it's so frustrating.
for 20-ish chapter we got a lot of development here and mc already regained part of his memory, we saw a glimpse of the past to guess the conspiracy and even saw possibly the biggest villain. we also can guess MC and ML prior dynamic... everything unraveled quite naturally. idk people who complain may be more used to stuff being fed to them? did they wish for even more fast paced story? this one is already quite fast paced enough and stay focused on one problem to unravel: a big conspiracy that seemingly made mc as scapegoat to the point he wanted to die, this also after being abused a lot by his guild until he met ml in the past. mc wanted to die so much he probably let an accident happened to him then ml saved him. how is this not easy to understand beyond me

and then classmates and peers had inferiority complex and you have to learn how to act properly according to your station. I mean Ajin was too innocent and naive for the score she got at school (and her looks). She is like the tall three that easily caught wind, but the tree is thin.
the only thing she could have done to avoid direct resentment is to be IT girl or Boss girl, intimidating the heck of her friends or making them aware that being in a clique with her was beneficial. OR she should be a white lotus type, seemingly friendly outside but calculating inside for her own survival. anyway neither type actually build genuine relationship with others.

i feel there's a type of parenting that make a child become afraid of making decision OR there's a type of child that will just be afraid to make a decision. but i believe strongly in the former. even if parents/guardian has good intention or just being protective, they can easily miss the parenting method to make a child be more aware and confident with making choices.
stuff i can think on top my head are letting children having their opinion or hobby, if the kids are too shy or quiet then ask for their opinion/feeling instead of just waiting it out, thinking they will get out of their shell by themselves NAH unless something happened and the child used their own willpower to overcome it getting out stronger (if lucky), the child gonna have a hard time growing up anyway. if it's not working then maybe the child is ND or already growing anxiety since inside the belly
