Pian Pian
I thought there was something exceptional about it, tho the plot was unique, that’s all there is. It was hard reading it through the end because the miscommunication went on too long and became monotonous. I did enjoy some parts, but I mostly read for the sake of tagging it as completed. There was no notable characteristic of Calix and Sooha that stood out to me, they felt okay. I did feel the romantic feelings from them, but there’s no tingling sensation. Sahyeon’s character stood out the most, his aura is more sensational than Calix. His body, expressions, and whole existence are freaking sensual! But despite that, I still prefer Calix for Sooha, Sahyeon was touchy-feely, and I did not like it. Those sexual harassments left a bad taste in my mouth. And last was Hanbin, never liked his character, not until the side stories. Also, the thing with Sahyeon and Calix was quite unexpected and made me feel quite sad. Sahyeon and Hanbin’s side stories covered all the things the main story lacked, wasted opportunity, only 3 chapters tf. The omegaverse AU was cute but wasn’t needed, tbh. The side stories should’ve been more of Sahyeon and Hanbin, what a waste.
Good Hunter & Bad Prey
I like it, they’re both crazy and the art was pretty! Both characters were freaking gorgeous! I hope this turns into a series!
Who's Your Daddy?
I remembered reading the first chapter on the day of the official translation release but dropped it after a couple of chapters because I wasn’t into the art style and plot. Well, after over a year, finally finished and turned out to be good. There are some chapters that do bore me, but not to the point where I’ll drop it. It’s interesting since it's a mystery and the art style keeps getting better. What I find annoying is Louis's super dense character, and he’s so bad at his work LMAO! I enjoyed Mettel and Raphael’s characters, they’re both obsessed psychopaths in their own which made the story more compelling. But fr, the lack of communication was infuriating! Tho the ending wasn’t that bad, it could’ve been better. Also, the side stories were wasted, it should’ve been more of their happy marriage life with the baby. That totally left a bad taste in my mouth, the perfect ending was ruined, totally disappointed.
After Five & Five
The last few panels made me cry. I was hesitant to read this because of the art style and low ratings. This is the first work of Nishida Higashi I’ve read— been seeing her works in age gap recos but avoiding them because of the art style. Wow— didn’t expect to like this, it’s good. The art style didn’t matter much because I enjoyed the story. The plot was your typical work romance, but it was well written, unlike others. I felt the tension building between them, the amount of intimacy between them was just the right amount. I hope the second volume gets uploaded soonest!
Kitaru Harekake no Ashita yo
I was indecisive to read this, but as soon as I saw that it’s the same athour as Koi Ga Ochitara, didn’t think twice and read right away. But, tho it’s really good, I didn’t feel that satisfying or intense feeling I felt when I read the other work. I guess you need to be in the right mood to read this kind of lighthearted BL manga to enjoy it. It was my fault since I was previously reading an intense BL manhwa before this, so my mood wasn’t right yet. Maybe someday I’ll read it again.
JOY
The cover and art style itself gave off a good feeling and it didn’t disappoint! I love everything about this, including the sad part. Goh and Akune have one of the best relationships I’ve ever read in a BL manga. I love how their feelings build up and how they support each other. They’re so wholesome and adorable! But on some chapters, I really felt that sting in my chest, they’re sad and hurtful, and I’m specifically talking about chapter 6. I really hated Hibiki’s character so much that I didn’t feel bad for him at all. And there are times I find it awkward that Goh and Akune still hang out with him, knowing his past physical relationship with Akune. And tho it was cliche, Katayama liking him just like he liked Atsuno, it was cute but not really looking forward to their possible spin-off, still have that lingering annoyed feeling for Hibiki LOL. Also, I felt sad for Chifumi for some reason, but it was great she cleared up her true feelings for Goh. All in all, the plot was typical methinks, but the author did a great job expressing every character’s emotions, especially Goh’s. Btw, Akune’s character design reminded me of Akihiko Kanji (Given), no wonder he’s effortlessly hot…
Game (Dodam)
“You saved yourself from the hell where everyone had been ignoring you. By turning pain into your pleasure.”
It was entertaining, the plot was unique and the plot twist at the end was really unexpectedly good. I’m wondering why this has low ratings. It’s actually good for a short story and it'd be wonderful if the author would remake it and make it longer. It has a promising plot and great art too.
Jashin to Shokugan
I NEED MORE! Unique, interesting, dark supernatural, erotic sex— everything about this is perfect!
I Should Never Have Lived With An Honor Student
I read the other stories on that "site". You could read it if you’re just interested in the smut because the main story is literally fucked up. This Katsuragi-sensei is a scum who’s had enough of Kawasaki, the student he groomed. I can’t even remember it now, but I think Kawasaki was in high school at the time. Well, thank goodness Kawasaki ends up with his classmate, Kyosuke, and this is just a "what if" sequel lol. Still, this is messed up BL smut and def not for mangago cry babies lol.
