Tsurumaki-sensei no Sakka Seikatsu
Interesting plot with cute and funny characters. The SA (not between mc & ml) scene felt unnecessary, the author could’ve chosen a different scene to show Ichii’s naive character. Maki’s character was simple, but that made him a lot more attractive. Contrary to other readers comments that it felt rushed, I think the story’s pacing was normal and it was just that good that it felt too short. More than having a sequel, I hope it’ll be a spinoff between Nara and Susutake, they’re so cute together! Nara being a hot-headed big yet soft inside demon x Susutake being a wifey material scaredy feret lol! It’d also be great if we could get a spinoff of the mysterious and hot Kurokasa.
Anemone Theater
This was a fun read, sadly that's the end. Gave it a five star since I’ve read chapter one because I loveee the 80s vibe of the art style + the unique plot. There’s quite a lot of smut but they’re all good since the story still stays with the plot. Too bad it was only short (for me lol), it’d be better if we got to see more of the happy and sort of free dating lives of Sungho and Duk-wang. Although it took too long for Sungho to stand up against his terrible father, I’m glad he stood his ground, thanks to the drug, I guess? gonna miss this two TT
Iberiko Buta to Koi to Tsubaki
Held off reading it because I thought it’s gonna be a typical comedy student x student trope, partly yes but fuck— didn’t expect that fucked up past. Also thought Irie and Tsubaki were the main couple but tf they only got 5-6 chapters? They should’ve at least gotten a part in the last volume for closure, they’re so freaking cute and hilarious together! The second couple, Gen x Yoshimune has more complicated issues, and it’s fucking sad and disturbing what happened to Yoshimune— the author should’ve killed that fucking piece of shit Iga and his fucking accomplice! Also, wtf was that with Toda, it felt unnecessary and wasn’t executed well. I hate that it ended just like that, Yoshimune not getting any revenge on what happened to him and his video still being spread— that’s really fucked up!
Kore ga saigo no koi no hanashi!
Both couples have wholesome relationships, but overall it’s mediocre. It would’ve been more exciting if the past lover that Asami’s looking for was Watari, I’d like to see Suzu’s reaction, that would add more to the plot. Still, I was entertained, especially with Watari and Watanuki’s story.
Shikabane to Hanayome
I’m glad I can tolerate almost anything and didn’t let the inc*st tag stop me bc I knew I would be missing out if I didn’t read it! No cringe at all, prolly bc there’s almost no smut. Tho I agree that the execution was kinda weak, the plot is unique, esp the "Jiangshi" concept, which was brilliant! The art style is also beautiful, I'm no artist, but I think the lightness suits the plot. The rating would prolly be 9+ if not for the inc*st tag. I hope there's a spin-off of the bandaged doctor or somethin', he looks interesting! Btw, the cover really caught my attention and made me remember that Chinese movie lol!
Living With Him: Heating Up
Nice! A mature bonus of Living With Him! But not so lewd tbh, still feels wholesome even when they’re doing it.
Living With Him
That forehead rubbing before kissing was so freaking cute! It’s wholesome but ngl, I didn’t feel any fluffy feelings all throughout reading it, only a few times. It’s lacking, but not totally boring. I’ve expected too much because I’ve been seeing this in recs.
Senya Ichiya - Shitone no Himegoto
This is so real and beautiful that it made me emotional. I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it because of the art style but I felt like I would be missing out if I was not able to read it. Masato was like Aoi’s great love that ended tragically, it was really sad. Their love story was giving me the vibe from the song "The One That Got Away," and it was painful. I’m glad Aoi found happiness in Shouta’s arms and is slowly healing from his traumatic experience. Shouta’s love and patience for Aoi were unmatched, that part when Aoi finally remembered and accepted that Masato and him really loved each other was quite painful to see, he’s holding Aoi but Aoi’s saying he loved Masato. The phone call part with Aoi’s father also made me cry, it’s so touching and beautiful. You really should never judge a story based on its art style, such a good read.
Notpia
I’d probably find it terrifying if I read it in the 90s or 2000s, but since I’ve read way more dark BLs, this is only creepy to me. But fr, I was appalled when the student from the first story took the place of the silicone doll… him and the school doctor are both sick in the head. The second and third stories were the same, gore but not scary. Dark BLs in the old days only looked creepy now because of the art style but not scary. Still, the three stories were unique and interesting for a one-shot.
