I think she probably has a good-ish reason for doing all of this and considering how much she cares for Xin, it’s obvious she wouldn’t want him to die. Also we all know the author loves making us think a chara is pure evil and then giving us a backstory that proves otherwise so I imagine it will be the same for Lian and Wei, and we’ve already gotten a hint abt their backstories too. My guess is that Lian is just super brainwashed by the Zhou family. Also complete shot in the dark, but I feel like Xin might’ve actually asked her to do this?? Not trying to excuse her wack ass behavior btw I js think she’s an interesting chara who will probably be one of the main focuses next season.
