The pace and miscommunication are annoying but I wouldnt call the FL a damsel in distress ┗( T﹏T )┛ Despite everything she's ACTIVELY trying to get out of her situation for her and the ML ( who she thinks is poor too). In fact, being with him has made her stand up for herself even more bc shes tired of being kicked down. Shes not waiting to be saved, she's trying to save herself!!
Out of all the characters, she's the best! The ML is cute but has too many secrets and her Ex is shit but is a good example of how poverty can ruin a relationship.
