This was the stupidest thing I think I've ever read, but I kinda loved it. The random people in the peanut gallery who inevitably just went "what the actual fuck even is this game? I'm super sad because I was mostly liking the story thus far, but it got a little too close to the line I refuse to cross. Age doesn't matter, so long as the person acts that childlike. If they're that innocent and they look on the young side, how long they lived is completely irrelevant! Just because you've lived what you consider hundreds of years, doesn't mean you've matured. It seems as though the kids is just how going through puberty.

I find the story interesting enough to skim through disgusting odb, but I'm only doing so in hopes of more tentacles, and more attractive dudes in the future. Current (I the up in my mouth a little just thinking of typing a positive word to describe their... ugh...) situation is just so gross. Storypuku... where I imagine myself stabbing the story in the stomach ritualistically, as a way to bring anything even remotely resembling honor back to all porn, for the wrongs this particular porn has done the entire industry.

FUCK DIGNITY, YOU'RE DYING!

THIS is why I despise this kind of pride. When dignity comes before your safety and/or the safety of others, it's wrong. When dignity and pride shape your decisions, you become delusional. Open your eyes to the real world. The more people who know about and help you treat your illness, the more likely it is that you have even an iota of a chance at recovery.

People in our real world do this kind of thing all the time and I'm aware it's technically my opinion, but I wish I could tell every last one of them:
Is your pride more important than the mental well being of every single one of your friends and family members, including acquaintances? If you keep to yourself that you're dying, and not a single person you love gets the chance to say goodbye, a chance to come to even a little bit of terms with the fact that you won't be in their lives going forward, BEFORE your just suddenly ripped from them, just because of your useless pride, you are cruel; full stop. I know it's up to the person who's dying to decide how they will handle it, and I get not wanting to see your friends and family fall apart, but you can go with the knowledge that they're already on the road to healing when you do inevitably pass. In the face of that, doesn't pride feel a little ridiculous? Doesn't dignity feel like a man made construct just set up to control you into internalizing your pain and struggles?

Story for the rant guys but this shit just really poses me of. My mom died back in 2016, she told me in 2015. I was the first to know she had cancer, and the first person her husband called when she died. I'm disabled, so getting to see her (she lived in another country below me, and at the opposite end of that country too. Because he husband wouldn't let me visit with my husband and child, and because I couldn't operate my wheelchair alone, I didn't get to say goodbye. I'm still NOT ok. I had a full year to come to terms with it but because I didn't get to say goodbye, I'm not able to heal that wound. Now imagine she told no one.

THIS is what Ibelin is doing to her husband. And it's even worse because he's in love with her AND they LOVE TOGETHER! What I would have given to be able to live with my mom while she was in her time of need. Before she lost her ability to talk, after she could get on the computer to talk to me, I was told she just kept asking for me. I think that's what hurts the most. This is the first time I've ever typed that my mom "died" instead of using a less direct word. This is the first time I've talked about her wanting to see me so badly, and not being able to grant that wish.
