His mother was gaslighting him. What a nice way to ruin your child’s self-confidence and self-respect. The only thing left is to destroy his future happiness by saying something homophobic, so that he can hate himself even more.
This story is fantastic. Incredibly realistic and understandable even though it tales a rather dark turn
The beginning was fun and quite interesting but than author decided to turn duke into a jealous moron and make Jace an irresponsible idiot and use every possible cliche ever to make this story unbearable)
How can a clever and strong person leave a 12-year-old child in the middle of a bustling street because someone can say something mean to them?
Disappointing.....
Jace's reaction in that situation, although amounts to neglect, was, in my opinion, a totally human reaction. There was someone who bullied him, who had cruelly victimised him in the past and he was steps away from facing this person. Who wouldn't do all they could to duck and dodge/hide from that person? I would. Noah, sadly in that moment, was forgotten and it was Jace's fault, but I totally understand his reaction.
This is my personal opinion and it does not have to be the same as yours. Even though it is negative, do not tell me not to read this story or not to leave my comment. Because in the end we form our opinions on the subject based on both good and bad reviews, because those allow us to fully grasp the pros and cons of something (any form of art etc).
So... yeah...this story is lazy and boring. Usually I expect at least something better from web comics compared to manga(s) that appear in printed form because web comics do not have so many limitations and do not suffer so many edits, but this one feels so polished to be your average looking manga that it is just sad.
(sorry for the mistakes, English is not my first language)
