It's so satisfying to see Grayson getting smacked around after reading the other series
I really like that the MCs are so different from their parallel selves because then it feels like they're falling for a different person that happens to have traits that they fell for in their first partner and more, rather than it feeling like they're replacing the original with a carbon copy. Cause I cannot imagine any way to write the latter situation with a good end. On the other hand, the first is more of an extra stressful version of when people grieve and love their deceased partner but also find love again.

Iirc someone from the department is not exorcising ghosts, but instead using them to handle cases. That group of ghosts is called the apotropaics. Something like that?
