Such weird comments... see a lot of people criticizing Riften yet excusing all of Maxi's behavior. I love her but her need to constantly run into situations without thinking was wild behavior. Not saying Riften is justified yelling at her but with the constant high stress situations he's in as a knight commander and in a time of war. It's easy to see why he flips every time she almost gets herself killed or assaulted. She never even stopped to think before running into dangerous situations with not self defense besides a barrier. Just saying, they both made mistakes and poor calls. Maxi also had many opportunities to tell Riften about her father and she should have never went back to her father's house. I'm not a fan of her sister but I understand why she was upset to see Maxi walk back into that hell hole willingly. I can't bring myself to hate any character except for her pos father and the men who assaulted Maxi. I actually really love this story so far, and each characters reactions are so realistic. Maxi's self hatred, despair, depression, etc, Riften's fear and jumping to anger, yet apologizing quickly, his frustration, etc (yes he does love Maxi, y'all saying he doesn't is ridiculous. He was trying to get tk know her more and Maxi has her walls up high bc of her fathers treatment), and even her sister's cynical view of men and the world. I really love Maxi's development so far. And I'm hoping we'll see more development between her and Riften.
It's honestly boring... it makes no sense that she can't get help to free the boy... and the fact she's just leaving him in a prison being tortured is crazy
These are some emotional comments... why's everyone so mad? It's really not that bad. It's funny that the characters are so dumb (y'all need to lighten up and not take a fictional story so serious) PLUS the mc is getting way to much hate... I don't even see this much hate for a character under all of those rape filled Manhwas/Web comics... kind of ridiculous
