Just because you make a dark-skinned character, say he's "actually tan" because he's a plushie, or claim he's "not even a person" doesn't automatically make the racial implications disappear. I can't be the only one who finds this uncomfortable. People are already calling it an unfortunate coincidence, but it's hard to ignore that the author chose for a monkey plushie ML to become a large, dark-skinned man with noticeably big ears and a large penis. There were countless other design choices that could've been made for this plot, which is why so many people are questioning it.
I hate getting attached to stories bro this shit is going to hurt so bad when it ends I'm going to read it at least a few times and come back to at least twice an month-
