Mc needs to join a book club or start volunteering, or just make other gay friends, cause hes obviously desperately lonely and in need of friends/community- cause otherwise why is he hopping on the end of this unrequitted love congo line
I like this waay~ more than i thought i would from the description. im not into 90% of yanderes (and thats what the description sounded like) but i actually love ml's like this; the arrogant popular guy who *knows* just how popular he is and is trying so, SO hard to maintain his image that he crosses over into lameness. I think of this trope as the Neurotic Prince type, reminds me of Observing Elena Evoy, or Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami
Im glad i gave this comic a shot tho; sometimes you try a comic that appears to have a trope you dont like and you actually find a new favorite, but most of the time ur just eating the dead dove
Im enjoying the bisexual vibes we have going on here. Like we had no reason that our MCs needed to gender swap other than them bisexually flirting. And the flashback of andert and Raphael(?) gayly frolicking in the water... no way blondie wasnt into his bro
I honestly hope they dont go the white lotus route with the cousin; let melissa and kiana have a terrible messy relationship and then let them reconcile like with every other member of the family. Like maybe theyre the kind of family who would never hang out if they werent related, but they can come together to kick the ass of a common enemy.
I just dont like the "evil sister steals ur man" trope overall. And i wanted to see more of kiana and Melissa's dynamic from the beginning, *because* kiana was in the wrong a lot of the time. It just seems a little cheap to be like oh melissa was actually evil the whole time so kiana is retroactively in the right to bully her.
Must be crazy to be seeing a man and he offers to kill your abusive family member, so you think he *must* be serious about you, but then actually he has a whole ass kid he hasnt told you about.
And i know josh is just tryna avoid the custody battle from hell but really my guy is sending mixed messages
I thought Josh was gonna offer like a hug or something, but no, hottest man alive Joshua is fully prepared to commit murder for his baby girl.
And honestly im liking this series so much now that chase isnt terrorizing his employees. I just wish the other stories by this author would skip/tone down all the psycho behavior and just get to the good stuff. But from the comments i am burdened by the knowledge that grayson the child torturer/sexual predator is a main character
Thlese two somehow manage to have Zero romantic chemistry. Ive def seen worse tops but these guys seem uniquely unable to list anything they actually like about their partners. In the first volume, mc decided to stay with ml out of guilt/daddy issues, and loneliness; and the story just put *way* more weight onto guilt. And then at the last minute he was apparently lonely, but had no examples of things he missed about ml. Then ml just liked mc cause he saved him one time, but mc has showed no other heroic inclinations since.
And the second volume just drew attention to the void, cause usually with a "denying ur fated mate in favor of current mate" trope, it usually ends with a "fuck fate, I CHOSE you" type beat, but that doesnt really land here does it?
I did like this scene, but overall i feel like the developement of feelings between the two was a bit rushed. They spent a bit too much time where the top was still forcing him to do stuff with the master servant ring, and not enough time building trust. I just feel like the uke had started being blushy before top had shown *any* redeeming qualities. And i was annoyed when the Top was all "oh how dare you want to go home to your family, why dont you wanna commit to me, a man who literally kidnapped you"
They did have good bonding since top started to talk about himself, but i feel like they should be at the mutual respect stage rather than the makeout in a car stage
