I think some people hadn't understand (in the story and real life) that she learned that way to be, even as a ruler, just look at her father, usually the nobility will NOT be in the fronts because they need to lead from behind and survive, bur her father isn't the type to lead from behind and he passed that down to his possible successor that was Mimi.
I think that was a real moment for them to think that if we don't want our crown princess always having to save the day by putting herself in danger they need to review their own knights. I don't know how can they be like that, it's a funeral for fucks sake. If it was in someone's funeral, whom I really cherished as soon the bullshit started I would be kicking them all out, if you aren't able to respect that moment you have no point in staying there.
