okay i js binged read this in 2 days but now im seeing comments and such abt how derrick LOVES penelope like that. am i js dense??? was it ever obvious that derrick liked her that way or was js implied? i honestly js saw his behavior as someone whos conflicted abt his late sister and didnt know how to handle having a replacement? and that he was js worried abt penelope in a BROTHERLY way but had a bad way of showing it?
the surefire way to know that derrick loves loves penelope is really just by looking at the color of his meter thing. in comparison to her other brother, his love for penelope was different, and it had like a gross twisted love for her, and if i remeber correctly his conversation near the end with yvonne just gave it like a full clarity, but throughout the story you see that his love for her isn't like regular brother love
