I went into it not expecting much nuance, based on the straightforward title, but this story was actually quite well written with interesting/quirky characters who felt pretty genuine in their idiosyncrasies and imperfections. It reminded me a bit of Higashi Nishida's style, which is the *highest* praise. I look forward to seeing what this mangaka writes in the future.
Could someone pls remind me what chapters in the OG story are about these two characters? I want to go back and reread their journey ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
ch 42-58 is their backstory (39-41 are also abt them and lead into the backstory), then ch 75-78 is their epilogue that takes place right before nightfall!

Came here to say that the story never actually said the show being made was yaoi...which makes the only reference to it the title. kind of weird.

Wow this story was absolutely fantastic!
I haven't read such a refreshing and original BL in a while. The mangaka created a beautiful representation of true love and first love with two delightfully open and vulnerable main characters. A classic story told well in a new way = a Masterpiece! Definitely five stars.
from ch. 4 to ch. 5 there is a huge gap. the beginning of chapter 5 actually says as much, it covers all the plot in writing and there's a bunch that isn't uploaded here. does anyone know where the missing parts can be read?
I think that is a summary of what happens in all of volume 2. So that is the story to come.
