hello??? internet??? scholars??? detectives??? pirates??? whoever's holding the novel please come forth i've been marinating this series for ages and i'm tired of surviving on one chapter a week. i'm ready to ascend to the novel. could anyone kindly point me in the right direction PLEASE.
I understand where you're coming from. LGBTQ+ representation is still lacking in a lot of mainstream media, so I get why queerbaiting is frustrating and why you want better, explicit representation.
That said, if your goal is to encourage people to support real LGBTQ+ stories, wouldn't it be more helpful to recommend series with confirmed queer characters instead of repeatedly spamming comment sections? It doesn't really start a conversation. It mostly ends up disrupting other people's reading experience.
I also think it's important to separate opinion from fact. Saying the author is intentionally queerbaiting for money is a serious claim, but unless the author or publisher has actually confirmed that, it's still speculation. In a discussion or debate, we need evidence, not assumptions about someone's intentions.
Your opinion is valid, but it's not the only one that matters. Other readers are allowed to interpret the story differently or simply enjoy it without being called delusional, homophobic, or fetishizers. What confuses me is that someone who values personal autonomy and the freedom to live authentically would criticize others for their preferences in fiction. Doesn't respecting personal autonomy also mean respecting other people's right to enjoy and interpret stories differently, as long as they're not harming anyone?
Not gonna lie, the art is gorgeous and the plot is refreshing, but the FL is giving me Wattpad flashbacks. Girl is fighting for her life physically, emotionally, and mentally.
P.S. I checked the spoilers and welp... turns out the flashbacks weren't flashbacks. They were foreshadowing.
The Manhwa Gods really looked at me suffering through the trenches of repetitive red-flag manhwas and said, "Here, child."
just learned what culling means and yeah imma let this emotional damage marinate first see y’all in 5 chapters.
anyways for the ppl curious, culling basically means getting removed from the herd for being “no longer useful”.
Sooo anyways, since I've seen people here in comments cluelessly using words without research, I'm going to make it easy with y'all and teach you what grooming and pedophilia are.
Pedophilia is when an adult is sexually attracted to children who haven’t reached puberty.
Does anyone notice the word "sexually"? Yeah, it should be sexual, in that their goal is to sexually interact with you, and it's not like love but sexual.
Now we're going to talk about grooming in research.
Grooming is when an adult (or sometimes an older teen) manipulates a younger person over time to gain trust and slowly push sexual or inappropriate behavior.
Signs of grooming
1. Trying to isolate you
2.Excessive attention or “special treatment”
3. Gift giving or favors
4. Gradually crossing boundaries
5. Asking for secrecy
6. Making you responsible for their feelings
7. Sexualizing conversations
8. Testing your reactions
And so we're done! And if anyone ever noticed, sexual is always present because that's what all of this is all about; it's about manipulating anyone to have a sexual interaction with them, so no, the fl in the story is not a pedo nor a groomer, and lastly, I wrote this to warn anybody who would read this to be careful and be vigilant about what you see and what you feel from the people within your circle and especially from strangers; after all, the signs I listed above are only the tip of the iceberg.
Anyways, remember all of these are fictional and not real, so please don't let it bother you. Happy reading and stay hydrated.
sooooo i did not expect that healthy communication right there and hoped it doesn't foreshadow anything bad
