I understand where you're coming from. LGBTQ+ representation is still lacking in a lot of mainstream media, so I get why queerbaiting is frustrating and why you want better, explicit representation.

That said, if your goal is to encourage people to support real LGBTQ+ stories, wouldn't it be more helpful to recommend series with confirmed queer characters instead of repeatedly spamming comment sections? It doesn't really start a conversation. It mostly ends up disrupting other people's reading experience.

I also think it's important to separate opinion from fact. Saying the author is intentionally queerbaiting for money is a serious claim, but unless the author or publisher has actually confirmed that, it's still speculation. In a discussion or debate, we need evidence, not assumptions about someone's intentions.

Your opinion is valid, but it's not the only one that matters. Other readers are allowed to interpret the story differently or simply enjoy it without being called delusional, homophobic, or fetishizers. What confuses me is that someone who values personal autonomy and the freedom to live authentically would criticize others for their preferences in fiction. Doesn't respecting personal autonomy also mean respecting other people's right to enjoy and interpret stories differently, as long as they're not harming anyone?

I will never let you all ship in peace when your co shipper fandom is so toxic that brings hate to the gay community. Like lets all notice how you all call ne out like you all only have a problem with me and not people who keep on replying all this homophobic shit in my reply everytime I commented in this toxic manhwa fandom.

If people called you a slur or told you to die then I absolutely condemn that. That's unacceptable regardless of who it's directed at and I never defended that behavior.

My point wasn't about those people. My point was about your claim that this specific author is intentionally queerbaiting for profit. Saying "Korean authors love to queerbait" is still a broad generalization unless you have evidence that this author has actually admitted to doing that. Frustration with the industry is understandable, but we shouldn't present assumptions about someone's motives as facts.

Likewise a few toxic fans don't represent an entire fandom, just as I wouldn't judge every LGBTQ+ person by the actions of a few individuals. We can call out harassment and still avoid making sweeping claims about whole communities.

If people in the fandom are sending you homophobic comments, slurs, or death threats, then I genuinely condemn that. No one deserves to be treated that way, and those people should absolutely be called out.

But I don't think it's fair to hold every reader or shipper responsible for the actions of the loudest toxic fans. I can disagree with your conclusions while also agreeing that homophobia and harassment are unacceptable.

My point is that criticism should be directed at the people actually being hateful, not at everyone who enjoys the series or the ship. Likewise, saying the author is intentionally queerbaiting for profit is still a claim that needs evidence. Those are two separate issues, and I don't think one automatically proves the other.

Statistically 3-9% of the population is lgbtq, I'm not sure what underrepresented means here, because most shows I watch have minimum one gay couple and lots of east asian movie that won awards are lgbtq based.... For me, love is love period and I believe attraction is fluid. Multiple studies have shown at least for women, there are few truly heterosexual women. In this manga, I think they do a good job representing asexuals. It is written quite explicitly somewhat int he novels that natural born S- class just don't really feel "sexual" romantic attraction much anymore. So as much as I want this to be labeled bl, I don't really think it would make their romance more or less .... Asexuals don't fully deem themselves heterosexual or homosexual either, that Kivomo person is just blowing this out of proportion. Why do people have to be fucking to be a representation of the lgbtq community? There is a reason asexual still feel excluded from the queer community. Anyway, han yoojin and sunghae care for each other deeply, worry about each other (nobody worries about sunghae), have a kid together, work well together, call each other partner, make exceptions for each other and basically have said I love you to each other... Not sure what more you want from a couple... Even that for me is pretty much a fuckin perfect relationship.

Not gonna lie, the art is gorgeous and the plot is refreshing, but the FL is giving me Wattpad flashbacks. Girl is fighting for her life physically, emotionally, and mentally.

P.S. I checked the spoilers and welp... turns out the flashbacks weren't flashbacks. They were foreshadowing.

The Manhwa Gods really looked at me suffering through the trenches of repetitive red-flag manhwas and said, "Here, child."

just learned what culling means and yeah imma let this emotional damage marinate first see y’all in 5 chapters.

anyways for the ppl curious, culling basically means getting removed from the herd for being “no longer useful”.

It's backkkkk!!!

Plain_Jane March 27, 2026 1:23 am

Sooo anyways, since I've seen people here in comments cluelessly using words without research, I'm going to make it easy with y'all and teach you what grooming and pedophilia are.

Pedophilia is when an adult is sexually attracted to children who haven’t reached puberty.

Does anyone notice the word "sexually"? Yeah, it should be sexual, in that their goal is to sexually interact with you, and it's not like love but sexual.

Now we're going to talk about grooming in research.

Grooming is when an adult (or sometimes an older teen) manipulates a younger person over time to gain trust and slowly push sexual or inappropriate behavior.

Signs of grooming

1. Trying to isolate you

2.Excessive attention or “special treatment”

3. Gift giving or favors

4. Gradually crossing boundaries

5. Asking for secrecy

6. Making you responsible for their feelings

7. Sexualizing conversations

8. Testing your reactions

And so we're done! And if anyone ever noticed, sexual is always present because that's what all of this is all about; it's about manipulating anyone to have a sexual interaction with them, so no, the fl in the story is not a pedo nor a groomer, and lastly, I wrote this to warn anybody who would read this to be careful and be vigilant about what you see and what you feel from the people within your circle and especially from strangers; after all, the signs I listed above are only the tip of the iceberg.

Anyways, remember all of these are fictional and not real, so please don't let it bother you. Happy reading and stay hydrated.

Love how informative this is. I would have fought everyone instead. You're much more mature than me.

    Mjsuy March 27, 2026 4:29 am

Also not to mention arellyn is not even adult even mentally. She is just a kid who knows what the future holds for her. If she were adult she not be calling a dude mom.

There's a difference in being adult in grown adult in child's body and child who has memory of an adult.
    Example:
    Adult in child's body:
    -give me that pacifier
    -the youngest princess
    Child with memory of adult:
    -this
    -superstar from age 0

Thank you for explaining this, cause I don't know why folks fly off the handle so quickly when they forget that this is literally an illegal website, nobody is gonna see what they're ranting about besides those that use this site. Unless yall really want this site to go under, please be mature (although i highly doubt some of those up here can ever be even that).

honestly this is depressing as fuck and i fucking hate everyone not including asil ofc but fuck everyone that drove him to that this shit is plain SA and Stockholm syndrome like who the hell does he thinks he is asking to be loved when he 'ruined' all the things asil have and starts acting like he didn't do anything?? and hes going to ask why asil identify himself as hoe? when hes the one treating him as a toy earlier?? at this point i hope asil dies from depression and leaves him for good (╬ ̄皿 ̄)╯╧╧

sooooo i did not expect that healthy communication right there and hoped it doesn't foreshadow anything bad
