Ikr?! The art was what enticed me and the story hooked me, in only 12 chapters at that! There was only 4 in this site and the rest in mdex...
Buuuut pls don't think this is coming from a bl shipping place but I genuinely think it would make a better story if he does end up with Kinosaki.
1. He and his sister did not want to be used to simply continue their bloodline and want to be with someone they love not for the sake of reproducing new family head.
2. It would be so much more powerful for Gero to have to reconcile with the fact that, even though he set out to carry the burden so his sister didn't have to, he actually wants to be with someone he loves... And so far the only person that he has really every gotten the spark in his eye so to speak was Kinosaki. I mean even the audience is like "I don't rlly see him ending up with any of the potential women he has met". And watching that play out where he has to deal with his family and his past would make for a good arc.
3. Plus I feel like it would be out of character for Gero to raise a kid in the environment he was raised in. No matter how better of a parent he would be, he would still have to subject his kid to intense training and pain. Idk maybe I'm reaching with that one but of all the things that the author has shown us that brings him joy (helping ppl, candy kits, and cleaning) being an assassin and killing targets doesn't seem to be something he loves more so just a job to him/what he was born into.
aaaanyway Like I said its been awhile, I haven't read the recent chapters so if I'm totally off base lemme know. But the way I see it,,, its probably gonna be no one or kinosaki... and if not ehhh then it would make the ending kinda underwhelming
I actually love how the author gave us full fleshed out characters that we literally do not see past the college years. Like you do not see that often in bl. Mangaka really let us follow Garam's journey realistically.
Like every single moving piece is relevant to tell him and Heejae's story. love love love
Literally!! We even get a peak in minor side characters like Lynn (the woman who played the oboe in the concerto), like other bls never take woman characters seriously but in those very few panels the author showed Lynn's insecurities on she felt with her skills. I love how human the minor character feels, it doesn't feel npc-like.
