It slips in super easily. Especially through american media. I remember i used to want to learn krav maga when i was younger and i for the life of me could not understand where i even heard such a martial art. I knew the origin of every other one from kung-fu to caopeira yet i kept hearing about krav maga but not where it was from. I ended up not learning it because it lookes so lame compared to taekwondo which was another one i was interested in. It's only recently i learned that krav maga originated in israel. And that was because someone made a compilation of people glazing krav maga in american movies and cartoons.
Wow that's amazing because as a north african myslf this never happend I grow up watching europe/american culture but I was really sensitive to the whole thing I would always notice it and find it unnatural
