I can’t remember the name for the life of me, but it’s about a sick girl from a noble family who finds a merman in a lake and takes him into her home in like a fish tank, they grow up together and sort of start resenting each other. but then the family gets usurped or something, and the girl saves the merman but dies in the process (or from her illness?). Years later the merman returns (he has feet but idk how) to the ruined estate and finds the girl alive and well.
Has ANYONE heard of this? I remember it being so damn interesting.
