Why is this such a common trope in BL? Like it actually tweaks me out why all so accepting of this, it’s pseudo incest mixed with grooming imo. just because the grown up kid is the top doesn’t make it any better. Idc if this is a controversial opinion because I genuinely think this dynamic is gross.
No, no, no... OP does have a point... honestly the buch of rofan we have with "adult women in the body of kids" skewed the "grooming and pedo" bar too much... it doesn't matter if he's actually 22... legal loli much? Still very bad... even more so if he sees mc as his guardian... I totally see the faux-cest too... there are better ways to make a character vulnerable and in need of protection besides turning them into kids...
It would be one thing if they met once or 2x when he was in kid's form or if he reverted to op form after a couple chapters... but if he says like that for a good time, living under mc's guardianship... yep... it's a no for me.
Yes! There are so many of these that's like "omg, but I raised you, what do you mean now you wanna fuck me kyaa" and ppl act like it's fine because the parental figure (adoptive father, let's be real) is the bottom. The same way ppl act like grooming is OK if it's a woman doing it or if the boy takes the initiative it's OK for the adult woman to accept. It's fucked up. Really fucked up.
It's not a controversial opinion nor are people accepting of incest and grooming. It's just that not everyone think a fictional troupe should be compared to a real problem because it's downplaying real life victims' experiences. Most readers don't start viewing real people experiences through fictional characters, like how FPS shooting gamers aren't automatically assumed to be into actually killing people.
I get your point with the pseudo incest and grooming vibes, but it also depends on how much you translate fiction to reality, and what you deem is problematic fiction. In the first place, homosexuality is a sin in many religions/countries so everyone reading BL is already deemed problematic and gross in the eyes of others(much less everyone here reading illegally lol).
In the end, most people aren't thinking too hard over the fictional media they consume, much less over a troupe that we all know can never happen irl(going back to the past to raise someone). Promos, descriptions and warnings exists to let readers gauge a feel of the series, and have them stay away from plotlines they have moral disagreement with. It's great to stick to your own moral compass and know what you can't accept depicted in media, but if certain troupe disgusts you enough that you are associating real people who reads it to irl crimes, then I think you should avoid reading the troupes that trigger you for your own sake.
Your point is completely valid, but that doesn't mean certain opinions n certain media shouldn't exist
Much like how it doesn't trigger as irl, it's easily a 'safe' first step into condoning a problematic thing, and the progressive way is to move past that. In my opinion with trauma much obliged, fiction involving my trauma makes me rather aggressive and aggravated going into comment sections seeing 'omg yes this is so hot'. Like.... goodbye? I get kinks, but in a place full of different people, I choose not to be that one horny munch that decides today is the day to say "I love this shit so much" and the content is more or less sa or grooming/etc.
There's content that should be kept in someone's pants and while I could care less if there's even one more content of a niche fantasy, someone else might, and I would definitely be one to disagree if asked should this even exist
Depending on the way it's done, it could truly be interesting and a pretty messy fit, but majority of the issue comes with the content being mostly, at least where we're at, porn without plot. Too much of it to the point I start laughing through things I wouldn't have, or be desensitized
Fiction still has an effect on what happens irl, it's just that the severity is different from person to person, much like how I feel and relate more with fictional characters going through struggles vs for example, my friend who looks at only how hot a character is; more or less a response to your point showing the flipside
Going off the rails, FUCK anybody homophobic, literally can't mind their own business without pushing views onto other people
Dead parents, no friends, no bitches (in his universe), corporate slave, isekai’d to another world, accused of a crime, almost killed, kidnapped, surprised bottomed, proposed to THREE different times by THREE different influential people in his new world, given a job AND the responsibility of thousands of people’s lives.
3 days in and he’s stronger than I ever could be.

Guys listen if you treat this like a very mature version of those episodic shounen comedies it’s actually pretty good lol
Honestly this story is so ridiculous it's such a guilty pleasure
