I have a feeling maybe its like the Anime " Scool Life"
Where on of them is already dead, but thats the plot of the story and the other one has been talking to a Zombie the whole time.
Idk but something about their interaction is just weird and it seems like the Author keep dropping hints that one of them might be affected already.
that reminds me of Boys of the Dead. exciting!!

That's what I'm disappointed about. :( it's like the author just decided to make our original main couple just a gag/ comedy effect now.
