got my blood fucking boiling after reading the first few panels of jinhyeong’s dad shit talking him. like omg if ur kid is that fucking useless shouldn’t you let him go and pop another baby out of ur wife’s badussy?

you can really tell how much he grows physically and mentally throughout the series. he used to have kind of expressionless dead fish eyes in earlier chapters, but once he started working in kyoto and being independent, his eyes were bright and shiny, and he grew taller and more handsome. meanwhile, kiyo kind of just never changed both emotionally or physically, which suits her character. she’s like a calm river that goes by her own pace and as a character she stays the same lovable kiyo that everyone else feels comfortable with.

a bit disappointed as the start was very promising, but the pacing is everywhere and the male characters all look so similar, sometimes i can’t tell the difference between jaehee and seunghee. on that note, i wish seunghee came back, i need his bl daddy top ass to grace my screen again

i’m glad the art style improved! the beginning chapters were gorgeous but it dropped a lot in quality midway through, and then the quality picked up again in later chapters. those who dropped bc of art style change, come back!!! it’s better now! not as great as the early chapters, but the style is still good now

jinhyeong dad better catch these hands if he tries to manipulate jinhyeong into leaving uyun. i have a bad feeling that after the chapter where uyun says he wants to be a teacher, jinhyeong’s dad is gonna pull strings to make sure uyun gets fired or he never gets a teaching job in the industry, forcing jinhyeong to leave uyun and obey his dad.

the numbers: we’re going to scold him and hopefully he will take the hint and not intervene with us anymore. he has a family now and we need to protect his normal life but we are never going to let him know that

a man as powerful and well off like ml could easy have a lot of ego issues and traditionalist mindset and become toxic husbands bc a lot of those kind of men believe housewives should not be compensated for their work. he does the opposite. he constantly wants to pay huina and always validates how much effort she puts in, and at the beginning he’s said that it’s fine even if she only cooks for him once a month bc he knows huina’s cooking is a PRIVILEGE and not his right.

he literally helps her with combat and training later on bc he wants her to be safe even tho he could easily pull the “im around why do you need to learn how to defend yourself?” card. plus, he assists her constantly by doing the housework and cooking (quite well i may add). at the start he was clumsy and couldn’t control his power but once the regular meals and sleeps stabilised him he really became part househusband despite huina having a housekeeping trait.

and that’s not even diving to how he handles his jealousy. yes his jealousy is annoying but he always voices the reason for his jealousy and explains himself to avoid miscommunication which is a cancerous trope in soooo many romance manhwas. he is extremely honest with how he feels which is a such a huge green flag. he even admits that he’s not good enough for huina in front of all of his colleagues and even huina’s brother.

he even believes huina’s violent/tyrant side is cool. he knows she’s not a submissive housewife type and can’t help but praise her diligence and discipline which he also takes pride in himself. it’s really cute to see how he literally cannot describe how awesome huina is to him.

+ he could easily become those ml’s who are nasty to work with but are “only nice to fl”. he’s not nasty at all and he’s literally the purest example of what a top hunter should be like. sure he is extremely clingy to huina but he takes his job seriously and he’s not codependent on huina to the point where he slacks off on his job to spend time with her. he wants to be with huina but he always goes off on raids when needed.

also his brother is fucking hot but that’s just a plus.

honestly the romance is so forced in this manhwa. there was absolutely no chemistry between mc and ellie and then suddenly outta nowhere he’s blushing and holding her hand and shit. like author didn’t even hint at this romance pairing, kept teasing us with yuri and mc which made more sense considering how much she has helped mc even while unaware that he was a ceo. tho tbh if this had no romance it would be nice too. i nearly rolled my eyes down mt fuji during the birthday chapter.

i thought it was a nice touch to see that jinhyeong had his father’s hairstyle in the “alternate” future…implying he really became the mini version of his father.

i also can’t help but think that realistically in that dream, jinhyeong probably broke it off with songrik bc songrik hates people like jinhyeong’s dad and they lost contact when jinhyeong slowly started becoming him
