i actually quite liked seo arin early chaps, she really got quite nice characterization as a kind, soft hearted celeb who went from being a victim to being able to hold her own in the other world, is genuinely nice to her fans and seemingly friendly with juri, but lately she seems to dislike juri a lot, even saying she gets on her nerves bc juri actually has an amiable r/s with MC. like i get that she likes black scythe but even her liking black scythe romantically came totally out of left field. it really feels like they downgraded her character to a jealous woman who revolves solely around winning MC’s favor.
got my blood fucking boiling after reading the first few panels of jinhyeong’s dad shit talking him. like omg if ur kid is that fucking useless shouldn’t you let him go and pop another baby out of ur wife’s badussy?

you can really tell how much he grows physically and mentally throughout the series. he used to have kind of expressionless dead fish eyes in earlier chapters, but once he started working in kyoto and being independent, his eyes were bright and shiny, and he grew taller and more handsome. meanwhile, kiyo kind of just never changed both emotionally or physically, which suits her character. she’s like a calm river that goes by her own pace and as a character she stays the same lovable kiyo that everyone else feels comfortable with.
a bit disappointed as the start was very promising, but the pacing is everywhere and the male characters all look so similar, sometimes i can’t tell the difference between jaehee and seunghee. on that note, i wish seunghee came back, i need his bl daddy top ass to grace my screen again
i’m glad the art style improved! the beginning chapters were gorgeous but it dropped a lot in quality midway through, and then the quality picked up again in later chapters. those who dropped bc of art style change, come back!!! it’s better now! not as great as the early chapters, but the style is still good now
Really? I didn't realise the art style changed in the middle. Oh well, maybe because i marinate it everytime until there's 10-20 chapters and then binge read it, i didn't notice the change.
