I feel you on being disappointed that this features rape, because I wanted a slowburn, transactional sexual relationship driven by ulterior motives -> real emotional relationship development.
so far I wouldn't lump it in with other BL that use rape as a cheap sex scene/relationship catalyst or start for a stupid, infuriating "redemption"/chase arc, because the characters and plot have been fleshed out well so far and pyeonghwa and incheol's actions actually have consequences for themselves and others. still plenty of room to fumble and ch. 20 has already revealed that some commenters have a poor understanding of consent, but it could still be worthwhile. I can handle rape and abuse being featured in a story that takes it seriously, but I get not wanting to deal with that.
totally understand people dropping this, regardless, because it seems like straightforward non-criminal smut with good art and writing is kind of a rarity.

So when people say they're greatly disturbed by the amount of rape it's pretty understandable. Especially cause there's more chapters about rape than the actual story telling. It is far more complicated than just going to the police, and Jiwon's situation captures what several victims must endure. There is no absolute guarantee for safety or resolution given these factors.
