pilsangs such a heartbreaking character and based off how he was w the cat that died, he seems to believe he will die alone and was never loved. i believe he genuinely believes he will die unloved and alone. if you really think about it, he has been unloved for so long. he was not loved by his parents, not by his first love, and not by anyone—but for a fleeting moment, he thought maybe jooeon loved him too.
but of course jooeon did not ‘love’ him (i believe its more complicated than that but plainly he currently does not love him back), and now pilsang has truly never been loved by anyone in his life. he already has such low self esteem, and its so sad to see that the one person he thought could love him did not at all. no doubt this was a blow and a ‘reality check’ that he cant be delusional and think someone could ever love someone like him. hes so lonely, and it kills me as someone who adores unrequited love trope!!
so excited for this chasing arc, i rlly hope that man grovels for pilsang like he deserves ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ i hope mr woodcutter comes back quick!! out of everyone I think mr woodcutter, pilsangs subordinate and his android stone love him at least <3

I think he did love Pilsang, but he isn't familiar with genuine love. He pursued Pilsang as a toy at first, so he likely mistook his love for obsession. Not to mention that his family and friends view love as a political tool. Combined with the Chairman's massive ego, it's no surprise he's still in denial.
