Am I the only one who thinks Ilay is a psychopath and a sociopath? And not in an ironic way, but in a clinical one. He didn’t have a bad childhood (at least as far as I can tell from the manhwa), so his behavior can’t really be explained by that. He knows that what he does is wrong from a social point of view, but he just doesn’t care, and he never regrets his actions. Also, Ilay never really feels emotions — it’s more like he only has two mental states: satisfied or dissatisfied, in different degrees.
That would also explain why his way of loving is so different from 'normal' love: it takes the form of possessiveness. He doesn’t love Taeui the way we think of love — it’s more like he has this morbid attraction to him and just wants to have him.
Anyway, I really like this story — the way the characters are portrayed, the plot, everything

It is! I agree I mean, what else could it be if that's not? Although I would like to think he's more sociopath than anything, I don't think he enjoy (?) killing people specifically, I mean like most people that he fucked up usually either mess with him first or pissed him off somewhat. Like obv it's still not fair but if u think about it from his pov it's fair LOL

From a psychological point of view this is actually really interesting, especially when it couple with the notion of "good luck" from Tay. Either way reading this with emotions is def making u feel conflicted ahahahaha

It's pretty obvious atp, especially in the novel. Like he's a combination of both. As you said, the way he is now isn't shaped by childhood trauma like most psychopaths do, and he isn't quick to exploding anger when provoked. But he does get impulsive when it comes to things related to Taeui (although I'd say some calculated moves were thrown in together too even while he was being impulsive)

ur not the only one taeui explicitly thinks it too!

If I remember correctly it’s mentioned in the sequels or side stories that he really doesn’t derive pleasure from killing. It’s just something he does. I guess he’s more like a contract killer. Usually contract killers don’t have feelings for the kill one way or another, it’s just a job to them.

Yeahhh, people usual numb their feeling after a while, but I think he already have a lack of empathy since he's little (not that it's 100% gone tho, which is interesting) and I don't think he want to "blend in" as well, he just doing his own thing, his emotions impulses also match sociopath more than psychopath, so I thought him just being sociopath checks out more

You know what I hate the most? The fact that we're almost 70 chapters into the story, and there's still no development, about anything. Jaekyung's character was bad at the start and is still bad now. At this point, I feel like he's just unforgivable, doesn't matter what he went through. Dan was weak at the start and is still weak now. He acts like he changed, like he became stronger, but he didn’t.
And the story—oh, the story. We're at the exact same point as chapter one. The only thing that changed is that Jaekyung is vaguely aware that Dan is a human being. I'm disappointed, cause' I liked BJ Alex. ML was bad, but not even close to Jaekyung. MC was weak, but at least he had more resolve. Also, he chose ML, he wasn’t forced to stay with him. The side characters were interesting, and the story was way better paced, with every arc that lasted around 20 chapters, Jinx just feels like it will never end and nothing will change

I really hope that in this volume, Naoto will find some sort of passion, dream, etc., besides being a mother, 'cause I feel like he had the potential to be a somewhat strong omega at first, but then he just became this passive stay-at-home mom-wife (love him, but kinda boring tbh)

I hope so too! When the kids all grow up, I hope he'll have found something he loves to do because honestly, his life has been longer spent with kids than without and I'm sure his trauma comes into play on how he never seemed to find anything to do other than caring for his family. That's amazing in itself, of course, but I'm sure that the younger him had dreams and wants before Shizuku was born.
