glad that we're finally coming to an end but i'm still a bit confused on how penelope was able to overcome that leila (i get she died bc she's now a living being)
I think it might have been because of the mirror shard. When the Leila tried to take it from Winter, it got cracked. Since it was containing the Leilas power and probably consciousness, when she tried to use it against Penelope, it finally started to shatter, breaking a part of the Leila's power and consciousness along with it
it's not a perfect read with perfect MCs, but i think it's worth the read. pacing is kinda fast but steady enough to build the romance. it's originally about an arrogant pos playboy enamored by a quiet, intelligent "she's not like other girls" slave. yes ML does SA the FL. no he never says sorry. he just stops it and realizes he wants to win her heart, not just her body. i think he does have some redeemable aspects, but i don't think it will ever change the fact that he was disrespectful as shit. he's not a perfect ML, but everything he does after does show that he truly loves and breathes the FL. i like how both MCs change each others way of thinking on life and love, notably ML encouraging FL to dream of a life without worries of being a slave and respecting her freedom/independence. the part that made me think ML is starting to redeem himself was when ML told FL he would live longer than her so that he could give her a proper burial. he knows she's someone with not much to live for, so he finds many ways to encourage her to live forward. now for the FL, i liked how she stood her ground on her principles but she doesn't stand on it when it comes to love. some may think she's weak bc in contrast, the ML is not only a strong man in power, but stands strong only for her. she's not perfect, but she's an MC that you'd only want the best for. both their weaknesses drives the plot, so it is what it is lol.
i really can't say that valle loves lorena. it's such a mixed bag of feelings of regret, trauma, obsession, and ego. maybe it's just a twisted version of love, but that man is so goddamn selfish idk how anyone could pity him. i don't even have to mention his past self. his current self is selfish bc he still wants to entrap her, tie her down with his child so she could love a part of him, and follow her every move. that's suffocating af and not love at all bc he actually doesn't care abt her. he's traumatized and his overcompensation only intensifies that obsession.
i feel like this plot could've ended earlier bc the kidnapping part was more of a climax than wtv this was. the whole rianca escaping was unnecessary. if the author wanted to drag on the plot, maybe expand more on ml's revenge bc his is very unsatisfying compared to fl's revenge
it's been such a great buildup. just when you think you hit the climax, a new one shows up. i understand why there's been such a loyal following for the novel to manhwa lol
hopefully the author actually lets our girl go thru self discovery without ML or AI for the next season...

what a tragic villain. rose's grief is tied so closely to its grudge that it can't honor its first love properly. continuing the cursed fate on generations of innocent ppl is a twisted and terrible way to honor edgar's life and wish
u said it so well its so crazy to me that he might never truly understand his feelings of love for edgar bc all the hatred and anger (if i didnt misinterpret) he felt towards him for not wishing that theyd stay together/ that he'd stay alive
oh definitely. its anger is towards everyone, and as much as it hates neil, i think it hates edgar even more for wishing something better for neil of all ppl. since it never understood humans and how human connections work, im sure its difficult for rose to understand why edgar would do such a thing. since rose is built off of evil, it makes sense that it would solely focus on fulfilling the selfish purpose of "avenging" edgar by cursing his family line forever
