these two are obviously hitting rock bottom from the things that each of them have individually gone through. Why do you all expect them to remain all fluffy and green flag when both of them are not in a good place mentally?? they are hurting and bleeding on each other, so let them live through it and sort it out. If you want to read about some ideal world with no real drama, "Our Sunny Days" or "Spinach Salad" are both complete and a few searchs away. Stop shitting on a story that finally has some slow detailed drama and angst. Any intelligent being would have known that shit was going to hit the fan when Dohu didn't tell Juheon he was using him as inspo for his novel, so if you decided to make this your comfort story that's 100% a you problem.
it's worth shitting on this though, the author clearly wanna milk this story dry and decided to add this angst bs. there was no need to drag the story this far like at this point the "slow and detailed drama" is becoming more and more repetitive just because they can't talk shit out and this stupid push n pull towards each other.
But drama and angst to be involved with rape is just another low. Good angst does not need sexual assault. I know they are hurting each other even though they like each other but the moment the consent wasn't given and sexual activity was forced, it became rape, unnecessary at that. So for me I have to say it destroyed the story.
( ´-`)
I'm sorry??? Why are you making that up?
As I said in another comment, absolutely nothing under any circumstance warrants rape. What Juheon did is a wrongdoing, an awful choice that's taken consciously, not just "happens", but
that he will have apologize over and work to make up for it in the future, see how the story handles what he did and its impact in the relationship. But people can't handle complex characters who can step to the lowest, because the moralist police will come to cancel the story before we can see how things end up. Sorry the story didn't take the fluffy idealist route you were hoping for, but that doesn't mean the author has nothing planned on how to continue and handle what she herself put into it.
I don't think you understand that an apology doesn't mitigate rape.
and if you truly think an apology or smthng is gunna cut it then you do not understand how grave of an offence sa is.
And i see you keep repeating that people are expecting a fluffy romance out here.
Trust me, everyone who has signed up for this manhwa is not expecting a fluffy sunny days sort of romance. I think most of us enjoy this manhwa for the story and angst.
However is it too much on a reader's part to ask an author to not ruin their character by making them commit rape.
So when you keep saying that people who are mad are overreacting you do seem like someone who doesnt take sexual violence seriously.
I KNOW RIGHT ??? They keep repeating that we are here for fluff like bro we have enough media literacy to understand that this is not a story of sunshine and rainbows but we just dont want rape cuz that immediately ruins a character and makes me not want to root for them.
I dont know how it is so hard for them to understand.

Also what was Jeongro's problem? what was the problem at all? like he didn't feel enough for Gyul? had self esteem issues so he left? I feel like the big conflict was just a wall made of glass between the two and I can't really see what was the actual obstacle to their happiness. I only understood the story from Gyul's side: catched feelings and was thinking ab moving forward with Jeongro but got suddenly ghosted and abandoned but couldn't let go of Jeongro's ghost. Then he was pretty easy and took him back. anything else?
It seems like Jeongro couldn’t see himself on the same level as Gyul and felt insecure, he left to get his life back on track but the way he did honestly wasn’t the best. The way I understood it the conflict between them was Jeongro being avoidant and gyul being attached. Reading from a 3rd party always makes conflicts like this look real stupid until you’re the one living it
oh thank you so much. It makes sense now. And yeah ur right. I have never ever liked somebody and much less been in a relationship so it's only natural I just wouldn't get this kind of stuff ti the point it's plain annoying.
Lolol you’re welcome! Yeah I get u, personally I’ve been in gyuls shoes before so it definitely does resonate with me but I can totally see others being a lil confused
