I really love this work, but it's getting too long with unnecessary couples. I don't understand the need to make everyone around the main couple gay. Like expect for Lingwei's couple, every other character of some importance turned out to be gay. Just how and why? Most of the female characters in this have bad characterization. Why not have a healthy balance.

And the latest story... Uhh.. Incest. Was that really necessary? Really feels like grooming.. I really hope they do not end up being a couple.. Just going to skip this though.

Concept of spin-offs, prequel and sequel exists. Why not create a different title for different couples so that one story does not effect the other. Many a times the second couple leaves a bad taste (true with vice-versa) and this effects the feelings for the whole manga. I don't understand the need to jam pack everything under one title, when most stories like this can be read absolutely independently.

I don't understand why authors feel the need to include flashbacks in thier works. It's very difficult to get it right and this work is not one of them.

This work has some serious issues with pacing and transition into the flashback. Feels very forced.

Since the plot is so good, and author took the time to write such detailed world building, it would have been much better if the story had been told in chronological order.

The plot about politics is very rare in BL. Really loving it so far. The character development of Soleite due to Brian is well written. They really share a very strong bond. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Since both the dragons are so obsessed with Brian, they just see Brian when they see Ian. Ian seems to be a replacement for Brian at this point. Even with the same soul, they are different people. Their life experiences and personalities are different. So, not sure how that's going to be resolved. Hope, Ian gets away from both the dragons and lives a fulfilling life elsewhere.

How did 2 blonds on the cover suddenly turn into a blond and a black haired guy? And again with the blond as uke. Sick of this.

And looking at this author's works, looks like they have a serious blond fetish.

forreal created a topic of Lover's Position

Rant +1 - Here to add my own rant to the sea of rants in the topics section.

Warning - This is going to be long.

I am very much bothered about them hiding Motoki's girlfriend's shoes, when the shoe stand is clearly inside the house. I just can't make sense of this. Why? I mean, why would the ex-husband know Hayato's house. Ok, even if he stalked and got to know the location, why would they allow him into the house so that he can see the shoes? Even if he somehow forced his way in, why would he stop there and not look inside the rooms? He is clearly obsessive if he did all that.

Having got that out of my system.

I understand Hayato helping his friend. Even though it's his ex, they are childhood friends. I even understand him saying that helping Motoki is the most important thing now. Because a single person (even if it's your lover or spouse) cannot be the focal point of your life all the time. And seeing how dangerous the situation was, I quite admire him for helping out his friend.

What I do not understand is him asking Jun to not contact him and not explaining anything (even vaguely) to him. Asking Jun to not come to his house might make sense, since he might not want Jun to get mixed up in dangerous situation. But why ask him not to contact him? Phones exist in the manga, why not make use of it and have a conversation. Something like "Hey, sorry for leaving like that yesterday, but my friend is in deep trouble and really needs my help right now. It would be better if you don't come by my place for a few days since I do not want to involve you in this mess.".

I understand why Jun was not very assertive. In the first place, he had an unrequited love, then he had a one night stand with Hayato after Hayato cried for Motoki not to leave him. The morning after, Hayato asked him to go out but he is clearly not over Motoki. At this point Jun is clearly a substitute. Even after that Hayato never took the initiative to know more about Jun. He does not know where he works or where he lives. Still looks like a substitute or a bed partner at best. After the first call for help, Hayato left without explanation (understandable since the situation is urgent), but he did not explain even after he met him the next day, that too when he missed Jun's birthday.

Yes, he gave a ring, but does that really signify anything? No, Emotionless giving is a thing. Jun for some reason felt that as a declaration of love. Wow. I guess when you want to hang on, anything can be a reason. Then the day after Hayato again asked him not to contact and come to his house. Even after that, he goes to Hayato's house to talk, but comes across an intimate scene between ex-lovers. I don't see how he is supposed to be secure in this type of relationship. Him leaving and changing his number makes sense with his status in the relationship. Even after finding out Jun's address he allowed Motoki to meet him before himself. Like, do you have a brain? Making him meet Motoki after or at least meeting Jun together would have made sense, but making Motoki talk to him first. I still don't see his love here. I feel he just does not want to let go of the convenient toy since his ex already has someone else.

Yes, the issue here is lack of communication but mostly from Hayato's end. Yet, all of them unanimously put the whole blame on Jun. His only fault is staying in that relationship and even returning to that stupidity again after leaving, without Hayato not seriously repenting.

And Motoki... I don't see how testing Jun in this situation is helping out. He even goes so far as to tell Jun that he is getting back together with Hayato. What a way of making someone feel secure in their relationship.

Also, Jun's boss giving out his address to his lover's ex or any random person for that matter. Totally unprofessional.

This is such an interesting and unique concept. Loving it so far.

Quite different from other manga with Psychological tag, which tend to have r@pe as backstory or child abuse as main focus. Thank you Author for breaking that streak.

I actually like a lot of this authors work. (S)he defied a lot of stereotypes in the old works. But her/his recent works all have light haired guys as the uke. Not deifying the light haired uke stereotype at all. Disappointed.

I liked MDZS and was looking for similar novels. I started reading this because someone recommended this. Big mistake. I honestly could not continue with this. Too much r@pe and torture.

And what's with Mo Ran... is he an idiot... How oblivious can one be about their own thoughts.. I understand he did not know about Waning's feelings or his effort.. It's understandable he is oblivious about that.. but your own feelings.. And how does that give him any right to trample on other people.

Even after reincarnation he is the same idiot. He still has disgusting thoughts and gets jealous and irrationally possessive. The plot is too rape and rape thoughts centric and romance (from Waning's side. I don't understand why you would have to put up with that shit just because you love him).

I read in the comments that he does change for the better, but I am not sure if it's worth reading the whole thing for the redemption.

This is hilarious. The interactions between the emperor and his dragon are so funny. Cracks me up every time.

I have a very bad feeling about this. Could some one tell me if this has child r@pe or similar things.

Seriously this site needs mandatory Trigger Warning when creating a new manga.

Disgusting characters. Case of Rape fetishism. Too explicit. Not needed in the least.

Only saving grace is Yona. Had to skip a lot of parts to be able to read this.

forreal created a topic of Brother and Brother

Trigger Warning : Rape, Child Rape (since they are in school), Incest

Just plain disgusting. Couldn't go past Page 5. Disgusting family like this is enough to ruin a child's life.

Also, again with the one brother having black hair and the other having blond. And somehow the blond is being abused. This is a recurring trend in BL. Light haired uke stereotype ensues. Twisted case of Racial domination and fetishism.

Absolutely love this work. BL with actual plot. Or more like a good story with BL :) Love the plot, story building and character development.

Small things have a plot of their own. Once I read the sub plot I could connect it to the small reference or object in the main plot. And these sub plots are not there just for the heck of it (I can't help but think of Great god Airplane here (lol)). They have meaning and carry emotional significance (which help in character development) or are very essential to the main plot itself.

The character development of Xie Lian is tremendous. From a naïve crown prince who is not aware of how world works to a scrap collector god who, despite being aware of the ugly side of the world could still keep his core values. And Taihua.. same as his master.. Refuses to discard his core values.

Just every character has a story and significance. Like in real life. We might not think some one is important and that is true from certain perspectives. But seeing the whole picture, everything is interconnected.

Love the comedy as well. I found it hilarious that Mu Qing and Feng Xin tried to rescue Xie Lian from Hua Cheng saying he has been stalking him (so true). Also the part where Goushi calls Hua Cheng scary. "He’s been stalking you for eight hundred years!
Scary, too scary! My fortunes really are too accurate!" (lol). Though I tend to agree, the devotion is real. And Xie Lian doesn't seem to mind, so that's what matters I guess.

Both Xie Lian and Hua Cheng are strong and don't interfere with the other's fight for no reason.

I read the novel while listened to the One Flower One Sword track and that somehow elevated the experience for me!!!

Translating the alpha omega dynamic into men-women dynamic.. if a guy is born beautiful he becomes a girl/women? By this logic, with the number of babies who are born with beautiful features there should not be more than a few boys/men in this world. ( ̄へ ̄)

And that disgusting brother. He is insinuating that he wants to help him with his so called heat.

forreal created a topic of Mo Dao Zu Shi

Absolutely love this work. BL with actual plot. Or more like a good story with BL :) Love the plot, story building and character development.

Both Lan Zhan and Wei Ying are strong characters. They acknowledge each others strengths and don't think of the other as weak just for showing some weakness in some moment of their lives (Sorry.. this is me bringing my baggage from Shh! My Dear Alpha here.. I just wrote a review for that novel). They fight together in the later stages and both are strong in their chosen cultivation path. Lan Zhan does not interfere when he knows Wei Ying can handle it and vice versa. He lends a hand when needed. Yes mutual respect exists.

Lan Zhan is a strict top (yeah, this is a thing in real world and not just a figment of imagination of authors) and Wei Ying a kinky? bottom. And this is also why I like the BL in this. The couple does not have to be a switch couple for both of them to be strong. An uke can be strong too. And being an uke does not make one weak or does not define their personality. Same goes for seme (with what ever baggage the word seme entails).

And Chinese (Asians) having dark hair as they are supposed to (ಥ◡ಥ). And not uke having light hair for some stupid reason. The best..

forreal created a topic of Shh! My Dear Alpha

I read this novel after Pay Attention To Me. Was fascinated with the physically strong omega character. But there are a few things I did not like about this novel.

Firstly Shaoyan (omega) is looking for an alpha with strong pheromones even if that person is a jerk (Zou Rui). He actually likes Wang Zhe (alpha) but still does not act on it initially because of his weak pheromones. This at least is understandable since in this universe, an omega would die if they do not get proper pheromones during their first heat. Even with this life threatening condition he still chooses Wang Zhe pretty quickly.

Now to the point which greatly disappointed me. This part in the novel

"Jiang ShaoYan fundamentally was not as strong as everyone thought.
Even though he had a buffer physique and stronger fighting ability than the average omega, could he win against two alphas at once? In the end, he was still an omega."

This is from the POV of Wang Zhe.

Throughout both novels we are shown that Shaoyan is both physically and mentally strong. He can and actually does defend himself from alphas. This particular scenario happens when Shaoyan goes out and for some reason his suppressants stop working. He is attacked by 3 alphas lead by Zou Rui (the jerk). Wang Zhe after not seeing for a while, becomes worried and starts looking for him while thinking this. And guess what Shaoyan actually does defend himself successfully here, though he gets injured in the process. Wang Zhe then confronts Shaoyan after finding him and tells him to delay things if such scenario ever happens again and that he would definitely come protect him.

Yeah.. yeah.. some might find this very romantic, but this is impractical. So what.. does he expect to always follow Shaoyan everywhere he goes? Or does he expect Shaoyan to not go out of his house anymore to stay safe? Or does he plan to put a tracker on him like a creep? I understand in scenarios where there is a choice it's better to accept help and fight together, but what about when there is no other choice like in this case? Should he have submitted to Zou Rui and be r@ped. Like what... Defending one self is wrong now..

And cherry on top, even before knowing that Shaoyan's suppressants were not working and was injured he has these thoughts about him being weak. I am not saying him worrying about Shaoyan when is in heat is wrong. Everyone has weakness at some point in life. What I am pissed of about is him degrading Shaoyan as being weak and just an omega when he himself has seen his strength many times. Where is the confidence and trust?

You might want to protect your loved ones. Even if they are strong. You don't want them to be harmed. Nothing wrong with that. But don't talk about them in such demeaning manner. Don't undermine their strength just to satisfy your protective instincts.

This especially got me since Wang Zhe is shown to be a very devoted alpha in Pay Attention To me. And the comments in that manhua/novel suggested that there is no better alpha than him. But reading this part, I can't bring myself to respect him and think of him as the best alpha there is.

Trigger Warning - Child Abuse

Spoilers ahead

Loved the novel. This has a very unique and interesting plot.

Che Che went through a lot and is going through a lot. Jiang Yao helps him through that. He might come of as a playboy and may be he is for some part, but he is a very devoted, and responsible person. Absolute green flag.

Though I still cannot understand not letting the parents of patient (who is a minor) know about the child's health condition due to law? Which civilization is actually thinking that the children (10 year old) can make decisions for themselves? This is very illogical.

forreal created a topic of Absolute Control

So Qi Wang Zhi (seme) is an alpha who was raised as a girl during his childhood?
Then when he disguised himself as black haired guy to meet Sheng, he turned himself into an omega? Or did he meet him as an Alpha?
Present day he is an Alpha, so he turned himself into an Alpha again?

Or was he an omega at birth and changed himself into an Alpha?

Or he never changed his secondary gender and met Sheng (while disguised as dark haired guy) as an alpha.

Are secondary genders assigned at birth in this manhua or at a certain age? Could he have met Sheng (as dark haired guy) when he was not assigned a secondary gender, and then he became an Alpha?

forreal created a topic of Do You Still Like Me?

I wish I understood this. Read the whole thing but still some parts make no sense.

Truly respect teachers like these 2, who not only provide good academic education but also provide moral support to their students.

Love that Yanagi who is an omega and understands the difficultly of being an omega in a world where discrimination is rampant, reassures his student that he will support her. And Asanaga talks about ways to deal with alpha ruts and supporting them. Both encourage their students to break the barriers of sexes and see each other for who they are.

This encouraged the other teachers to pitch in as well.

Wonderful read. Breath of fresh air after reading a lot of $hi!t lately.

Also, taller uke and shorter seme, and the taller one did not turn out to be light haired. Averted Light haired uke stereotype. Awesome.

I don't quite understand the inner workings of the aunt though. Like why would you neglect a child, when you feel that you were responsible for his parent's death.
