Her father is not perfect. I am enjoying his change in views on life. That man has been through a lot more than we give him credit for. It does not excuse his actions, however it does explain. That's what the story is putting down and Seyden stepping in and spelling that out for both Layna and her father is what is needed in order for their relationship to grow. She's not giving him a chance and already stuck on the idea he will watch her die. That is a flaw on her end. Her father is a coward who locked himself away in self-pity and turned that into abuse and neglect for multiple characters.

The story is not finished and so is the character growth. Some of you need to realize, we still don't have the full picture.

This is so real, Her father's change isn't even fast, more so slowly realising, acknowledging, trying to be better and change his actions. I pity him sometimes due to the experiences and past trauma he had but does it justify his actions to her daughter? It does not but circumstances led him to be guarded and had a lack of faith and trust to other people including to his daughter. The way he slowly realized that she was his daughter not a mere spy and acknowledging his faults. He wasn't even forceful, He was actually thinking if what would her daughter feel when it come to his decisions that would affect her.
Anyway I want to know his growth on how he would actually ask for forgiveness or how to be a good dad. I also want to see the change of Jaina where her belief of how a father isn't important etc. I like Jaina's change in the past she was indifferent but now she's slowly opening up and socialising .
These comments here only wants karma after when someone does something wrong but never the cause, effects and how it would change a character after the consequences. Which very ermm
