The title is Yearning, or Endless Yearning (the alternative title), so sometimes I just get delulu and build a whole plot in my head where the ML literally yearns endlessly for the FL's affection. But by then, it's too late because she no longer loves him. He keeps trying to win her back by apologising and working on himself though he still fumbles from time to time too (Like Agent Choi, jkjk, forget it please lol). She eventually ends up marrying her fiancé (the 2nd ML), and the ML regrets his past mistakes for the rest of his life. (I mean, she's wearing an engagement ring, no? I don't know if it's a real engagement or not, but anyways!) In short, he gets a bad ending.
My other headcanon is an open ending where the FL tells the ML that the engagement is fake, or she breaks up with her fiancé because it was only some kind of contract thing a or something (cuz I don't like meaningless sacrifices for the 2nd ML). Then, the FL's last words before the chapter ends are something like, “Now, it's your turn to yearn for me, so good luck catching me.” (ik that sounds kinda cringe but I'm suck at this, so forgive me for not being creative). And then... the end. It's up to the readers to imagine whether he manages to win her affection back or not.
I dunno how 2L-nim is gonna drive the plot, but one thing's for sure; I want the ML to suffer. The minimum is 30 chapters, and the maximum is 50 chapters. Let's make the yearning arc yearn frfr ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

Also, it kinda frustrating because ml is such an asshole while fl is obsessed with him which made her unable to see that Kieun/Gaon is there and happily wants to be her friend.
