Definitely glad I read the novel because I was getting so frustrated with how the ML wasn’t “helping” the MC. Now that I have read the novel, I understand more about what’s happening outside of the MC’s perspective.
Honestly, what the manhwa has out right now doesn’t even scratch the surface of the characters or the plot. I think this could easily end up being ~200 chapters.
I binged this and immediately knew I needed the rest lol. After finishing the novel in two days I feel so lost. Antidote has been my whole life for the past week…

There’s SO MUCH I wish I could say, but long story short… MC was basically ready to take the throne from his uncle when his aunt killed both his parents and gave MC a poison that affected his mind. ML was away at the time and when he came back, the aunt had already taken power. Lisbet made a deal with ML to take care of MC because the aunt forced ML to leave (because nobody in the kingdom likes him and MC can’t protect him anymore).
However, Lister was secretly partnered with the aunt the whole time. He finds a way to tamper with MC’s medicine to make his memory loss worse and make him more complacent.
So… ML currently trusts that Lisbet is taking care of MC. And since his ultimate goal is to put MC back on the throne, he’s working a LOT in the background trying to put everything into place to make that happen. However, the aunt killed nearly all of their allies, so it’s not easy and the ML is struggling a lot, too. It just hasn’t been shown yet because this is the MC’s POV.
I kinda figured, at least with the ML having little to no power. This makes sense as to why he isn’t some white knight savior like people want him to be. He is pretty realistic.

I just binged it for the first time today and I saw some placeholders were posted not long ago. What’s the upload schedule like? Is it still ongoing?
Still ongoing but honestly there’s no schedule that I can see. It gets updated regularly for a while and then stops for ages. All these new chapters that were posted were released already like two months ago, and these are just replacements. The story is very good though.
From what it seems on the main site it’s posted on is that it’s every Thursday. There’s up to chapter 70 out on there rn. So just gotta wait for the uploader on this one.
Honestly I think the monster Mugo is my favorite. He’s so relatable. I also love playing games and eating people.
