This is a really compelling story. But it also gives me immense anxiety over its direction.
My concern is that there will basically be little to no reflection for how utterly despicable the seme is and that there will a tiny redemption arc after which they will get together.
My hope is that even if they get together, it only happens after immense suffering and anguish on the seme's front. And preferably, they don't get together and that this is more of a tragedy or psychological sort of drama.
Mokyeon deserves even worse than what he got. Hope Nanjo beats his ass down a couple more times.

Fr. Nothing against traumatic backstories. Everyone has been through one shit or the other but it shouldn't be used to excuse his actions. For someone supposedly shaped by abandonment, he doesn't exhibit any signs of trauma or a personality disorder. His sexual sadism apparently has nothing to do with his past. I don't think I'm ever going to like Mokyeon because Nanjo deserves so much better.

I think this might be an unpopular and unwoke opinion, but I think this Manhwa would become like a gazillion times hotter to me if the dynamic eventually became verse/seke or reversible.

See, that's part of why I think the switching *would* work.
It would mean Pyeonghwa would get to completely sexually reclaim himself from his trauma by allowing Incheol to redefine what it means to be loved in that manner.
It means that Incheol would get to show Pyeonghwa that bottoming doesn't have to be associated with this trauma and that it could also genuinely serve as a foundation for real love.

As much as I love the dynamic there is now, as nothing is wrong with it, and I know people always say this under a subtop and dombottom manhwa, but I genuinely think this take is honestly pretty good. I’ve read a few stories like this where they took this route, and I’ve enjoyed it a lot as someone who’s experienced similar trauma. So while I don’t think this is going to happen, and that the story will be amazing and enjoyable regardless of a possible change - I like the reason you gave, because when I first read it I thought it was going to be just a regular complaint about “needing everything to be my way; I need more verse couples”.
We have seen in some flashbacks of his hook ups that he's a switch tho? He fucks with both positions he just said to the ml that he wanna top cus he got a thing for that old ass, but I don't think a switch is gonna happen between them.
Tbh I don't think those flashbacks depict him bottoming. I think that's either him being ridden or something of the sort.
