First of all, I am a huge toxic yaoi enjoyer and I read anything with lots of angst and hurt no comfort. But...I only managed to read the first chapter bc my jaw was on the floor with this one from the shock.
Idk maybe it's just not catering to my taste despite the pretty art although the first chapter seem to suggest the whole thing will be a porn without much plot story with no logical actions. Then I saw the amount of chapters and my jaw dropped again...I guess it's popular?
- i know this comment adds no value but i just had to, I did not expect this -
It was good overall. I was waiting for the plot to happen but never did so I settled for whatever it provided.
Some things were resolved way too quickly and not so logically.
Jichan should have been at least a tiny bit scared of the situation he landed in and definitely should have gone back to the company the first chance he got (which could have given us an interesting plot where he actually has to deal with the changes and experience some type of discrimination which Mido was hoping he would). So much potential lost on a "very kinky porn without plot"
I understand other readers' dissatisfaction with the new developements. I really do however not all stories have to be just happy and have zero drama. And to me it would be super strange and unrealistic if our delivery boy got over everything that happened in no time (maybe his coping methods are not so good though). He will surely get help; but till then let's try to understand that things in life (and hence in stories too) don't go so smooth all the time.
So first of all I didn't get past chapter 6. This story has such a basic boring plot. MC hiding he is an omega, gosh what a surprise I have never seen this before! (sarcasm)
I don't understand why most omega characters have to be these meek shy scared things who think they have to hide their sec gender and their whole personality is being an omega. I genuinely hoped the other guy was the omega so it's a little different from the default ABO verse...
ps.: I got really fed up and had to leave this comment this time, it's very out of character for me so... Please be nice if you disagree!
I am pretty sure that hiding one's secondary gender isn't an uncommon thing in this omegaverse. Chapter 2 page 14, chapter 6 page 23 and the start of chapter 7 clearly shows us that asking someone's secondary gender is considered sexual harrasment regardless if the person is an alpha or omega.
The MC isn't meek and shy about his sec gender because it just doesn't affect him much at all. Chapter 3 page 20 - we find that chips exist that basically help omegas hide their sec gender and so no one can easily identify it.
Also MC's personality isn't about being an omega at all. From what I have read till now the MC has more struggles related to his past as a former athlete than his gender.
I don't know what expectations you have of this story but from what I have heard in the comments, the story is a slowburn with maybe getting a kiss scene nearing the end of season 2.
I kinda feel like you are just burned out or not in the mood of reading this type of story. Maybe you should just drop this story for now and read it in the future when you do feel like you can withstand the boring parts in the beginning. Don't force yourself to read something otherwise you would only end up hating it.
I’ve read a bunch of omegaverse and I’d say this really stands out from the standard meek omega macho male alpha stuff where the ABO only exists to lazily justify their attraction or to cause an sa scene and either alpha saves omega and becomes his “not like other alphas hero’, or it happens between them and omega is now stuck with him stuff
Here ABO is barely even relevant in the story of their romance or even in their world cause omegas can have chips that turn off their pheromones and heats don’t happen, it’s more about them and their back and forth till they get together and a lot of sport plot tho idk if manhwa will focus on that as much as novel did, but they’re REALLY not trait caricatures,
Honestly if you have the time and don’t mind it not being visual I’d recommend to read (or listen to it with a screen reader) the novel cause the story is hella charming and lovely, I read it so now I don’t feel impatient and annoyed with the manhwa moving slowly

It seems based on both of your opinions that it is indeed different from the usual. Since I left the comment I had time to think about it and I'm kinda sure I shouldn't be reading ABOverse. I'm not sure however why I always give them a chance when I very well know they are almost never catering to my expectations. For me it's almost always a dealbreaker if I know who the bottom gonna be from the first moment. In this one, I couldn't tell right away and I was hoping for a non-alpha/omega couple. I was upset I wasted my time and left a comment reflecting my disappointment. For me it's still not worth it due to the dynamics of the main couple but that's just a personal preference.
I can understand having either an artist's block or a conscious stylistic choice change BUT not in the middle of a work. I hate the new thin lineart and the flat pancake faces. All the pretty characteristics have been thrown out the window.
I will just stick to the novel from now on before the pancake faces burn into my memory and ruin the reading experience of the novel for me.

For some reason I really don't like MC's overall look. He looks a lot like SHINee's Taemin back in early 2010s with that awful hair, just a lot less pretty. T–T It's very unlike myself to leave negative comments on this site, I can't help it. I'm salty because I liked the plot for making the top the guide but can't look at MC. 。゚(゚´Д`゚)゚。
And yes, I know no one asked.
Thank god I'm not the only one who doesn't like how he's drawn lol
but he's so cute personality wise that it's fine for me. Dawn is pretty enough for both of them
No, I meant Dawn. I like the other guy. I assumed the main character is Dawn that's why I called him the mc.
I'm okey overall, but lips are killing me x)
