Also Im really missing the supernatural elements hinted at in the first chapters (being born lucky/ stealing luck/ having an „immutable future“). Sad that it wasn’t implemented afterwards.
He never blamed his mom’s death on Woori. He blamed him for going out of his way to tell everyone that his mother had died and that he was an orphan. And that in itself is just the tip of the iceberg. You need to understand that Woori is a privileged, multimillionaire boy who is extremely classist. We literally saw him make multiple classist remarks toward Subin throughout the series. Just imagine how it must feel to see your old best friend, who betrayed you, constantly making remarks about your financial situation while knowing DAMN well that you have no family to support you. And then, when you meet again as adults, you realize that this same guy is still privileged and still a classist piece of shit who has absolutely no respect for the working class. Woori isn't just someone who personally hurt Subin. He represents everything Subin has every reason to resent: privilege, wealth, and someone who has never had to experience the same struggles that he has. And not ONLY that, he is pulling his fifth Elon Musk bullshit on the day of Subin’s mother’s death. And sorry to get on some Karl Marx shit, but once you realize that poor people are THIS poor because of a system that allows the rich to stay rich at their expense you'll realize Subin’s hatred toward Woori is more than justifiable. His resentment isn't coming out of nowhere and is deeply political

On a personal level I still cannot admire Subin, but I guess he was never made to be admired. The point still stands though, I cant like Subin. Maybe his environment caused him to become twisted, but is that truly a good enough excuse? Tldr: Its sad that darkness breeds more darkness.
