Where did Zig say that they are alphas and what kind of alphas? I can't remember her mentioning the secondary gender of the children. I know she was toying with the idea pairing them, because her readers are asking for that, but can't remember her revealing their secondary gender. The problem with them is that they can be everything, from normal to domaint, or beta.

I’ve been kinda skimming the chapters and I’ve gone through about 3 sex scenes with these two without seeing anything significant that reveals who Shushu is. He went to school with MC and the other guy, but that’s all the MC really gleans. Honestly, it barely matters after that particular exhibit is finished. Kun/Liu/Lau Weikun/man of a thousand names becomes totally obsessed with our MC.

Hot take: the novel is RIFE with poetic introspection to the point of being seriously irritating to read. I’m being so fr.

The MC says, and I paraphrase quite accurately:
“I mean, it’s whatever that he’s like that. It’s honestly not like I care and it would be crazy if I did care because I don’t care about much. So interestingly it seems I have these totally mechanical reactions—like tears and frustration and horniness—that are a bit bothersome. Well they would be bothersome if I was bothered, which I’m not because it would be silly to think I’d be bothered by things I’ve never in my 22 years of life been bothered by. Like, he may be 10 years older or whatever but that doesn’t bother me either even though it bothers some people. Not that there’s anything going on because there isn’t and I don’t necessarily want anything to happen because it would be silly of me to want that since it’s obviously a pipe dream of anyone (not me because I don’t care) to think HE would lower himself to like a beta. Oh weird, did I just harbor thoughts of a golden alpha being attracted to a beta? That’s ridiculous. So I’ll just keep working and what not because I need to figure out how to live my life and move forward and stop being a burden on my cousin and his girlfriend—even though they keep inviting me over and I like them—and also stop expecting anything from Mr Liu. I’m excited for the scenes that move the plot forward and I see that this artist is summing up what I discussed in single bubbles and scenes that truly didn’t need the weight of a thousand words (MC doesn’t smoke, tried it, ML was takes pictures of him, MC doesn’t smoke again until later), so I think she’ll successfully get us to the good stuff pretty quickly. I’m so glad she’s not including all of his internal dialogue because I would die and it would take away from this magnificent art.

Shushu is ML childhood friend. They've never been more than friends nor have had any feelings other than that of best friends.
It's just that ML is very protective of him cause Shushu is a shy, sheltered and anxious little diva (I'm sorry, I don't like Shushu very much ).

There are some scenes where you can see like a few girls like the MC but literally nothing happens he is so clueless and thinks of one as family and the other as a duty

It's because he's a really young kid, it's not literal.
It's like an endearment + it would look more appropriate. It's hard to explain that's how it works for my end too.

My aunt is only 1 year older than me so I don't call her aunt, instead just act like our age and our relationship is more of how cousins would than an aunt and niece.

It could just be a translation thing or cultural. Like he my be calling himself grandpa like hyung is used for older guys but is not necessarily related. Or in a cultural aspect I know my culture is different from Korean culture but I don't call my uncle uncle because he is my age. Also Euiyoung is treated more like their child then brother so I can see how they can be called his grandparents

In Korean, terms like, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandma, and grandpa can all be used for both blood relations and non related persons based on age. Any kid Euiyoung's age would generally be told to refer to elderly men as grandpa. So it just has nothing to do with how they are related here. The man is old enough to be a grand parent and so he automatically falls into the category.

Yeah, Jerry is also mad uncomfortable with his brothers being candidates, though I'm pretty hopeful that author won't do genuine incest, so far it's only been played out as an obstacle for Jerry to avoid like the plague.

I like to think that the brothers still love him in a familial way as long as an event isn't triggered.

I kinda like it in a meta way. Like the author acknowledging how incesty yaoi is, and otome games...and shoujo isekai...so much incest. But it's like the author's way of going "hey! That must be real uncomfortable for the protagonist so can we maybe stop!"

Am I the only one who thinks she only said that marriage thing as a trick to get her to give up the government and leave, but has no actual intention to follow through? And later will give the usual excuse, "I only promised to ask him to consider it, the last decision is his". ...Because I don't see her as particularly eager to have Hathor around, let alone as a daughter in law
