Omg yesss the reference to Full Volume!! Also the people complaining abt the rape seeming “fetishy” do have a point HOWEVER if you look into older and even recent yaois, there have been FAR worse. This wasn’t at all as bad as people are describing. All rape is bad and evil, but the depictions in this specific chapter were not as bad as the ones that made me fully DROP stories. I think if you’re going to be reading a rated R comic, you should be prepared to see rated R things. Always assume the worst.
It's not really the rape for some, it's the portrayal and the usage.
If it was just some senseless smutty manhwa that was pushing a kink (like Indomitable Champion), then most still reading wouldn't be put off. If it were just another pure horror show like Hogu Hagyeongsu or Heart of the Lotus, then the baseline would've been set at the start. But the scenes here are just slapped in for the sake of being "titillating" and this one was even more poorly thought out than the first one in the forest.
The author is compromising the character growth and development for cheap "thrills." Which is a shame for a story that was doing so well balancing the dark themes and budding romance. The worst shouldn't be a random gang bang from random characters not tied to the plot. Nor should a character that has been abused since birth get violated repeatedly by randoms. (He has three semes already and they are enough, goshdarnit). I actually hate when authors go the "kick the puppy" route. ╥﹏╥

Now that you do mention it, I have lwk forgotten most of the “plot”… looking back on some eps I really do see what you mean and ts is a downgrade from Full Volume imo. Idk I have been mostly using this to feed the ‘finish what you started’ part of my brain and the smut scenes really aren’t that bad but I never really thought this manhwa was recommendation worthy anyways ┗( T﹏T )┛
