Personally i loved this, coming from someone that's in college but hasn't experienced anything in the romance department it gave me a new insight into this topic.
But i do agree with the other comments, that it has its flaws.
I think the message or conclusion that the author tries to convey is that the best couples are the ones with the closest personality between them. Eg: jooha and seaha, and yooim and bansuk. Meanwhile the other couplings, like yoona and yunyoong or smth like that and jooha and sehyoung didn't work out at the end. And it doesn't sit right w me.
The root of the problem, as the rest said, is the big M word...misunderstadings and lack of empathy.
But i think in this case, this served a purpose. Like in comparison to other manhwas, we see jooha adressing the issue and trying to learn from her mistakes. That was such a good character development, and for that she is the one who got the biggest character growth.
And i thought that altogether it seems pretty realistic the manhwa putting aside some minor plot drama, but how it handles their inner turmoil and emotions was quite refreshing. Imo the relationship btw jooha and sehyoung was destined to doom. They really liked eachother, but in both cases they were fresh out of a long term relationship, or it was their first serious one. So it can be said, they were still navigating how to handle that and mistakes were made, so "that was as far as their feelings for one another go"
On the other hand, i accept the ending that yoona and yoonsuk got. Like they had already their rough patches and idk i guess one gets tired and love slowly starts dying out.
It wasn't properly dealt with, but in the end there is such a deepness in the fact that love is a complex thing
Eventhough when you get together w somene else, you still carry all the memories and past tense love for your previous partners. One might think that you'll not love as you did w that person, but maybe you will with a different kind of love to give
I do agree that suzume is a very annoying and disagreeable person and at the moment he is not deserving of tobias. But i think his portrayal is very realistic he is a young, selfish, with a big ego, troubled and lost guy who just goes with the flow and it's just now finding a rythm to his daily life instead of doing pop up escapist travels.
He has a long way before being called a good guy that actually treats his lover right. I think this manga is refreshing in the sense that it steers away of showing the same green flag ml who doesn't have any development and arc moment. And i think suzume is slowly showing little bits of development in his character. He seems to be reflecting in his past actions and he cares about tobias, but that doesn't mean he can easily quit his selfish tendecies to keeping to himself without considering his lover's feelings..
Having said all that, it threw me off how unhinged he is in the least ideal situations, such as aftersex and during the sex. Like him saying that he considers tobias his god is screaming that we delve more into that and his pysche. The same could be said when he said his job was to have sex with tobias
Ok what was up with that non con scene in chap 18. Like seriously that threw me off so bad, the wolf guardian was totally unconscious and they made it perfom oral sex while the mc and demon were doing the deed at the back.
I knew it was pure smut, but i dislike how they just brushed it off and instead tried to make it a turn on harrassing an unconscious person
I like that this doesn't have a reverse harem in comparison to other villainess' stories
Also the fl is highly intelligent, confident and alluring
