I kind of get that this is a yaoi but it would've been lovely to end the manga with Kouichi returning because the King had already accepted it.
It's a bit unrealistic and sad to see Kouichi give up his entire life and best friend and to see them suffer and cry profusely. But again I get that this is a yaoi and the pairing comes first regardless of story.

This is the most realistic and authentic gay manga I've ever read. The character interactions, the issues of being gay in adolescence, the fears, the worries, and the hesitations. I don't think I've read any manga with this level of detail in making it this realistic and powerful.

Actually, they said in those couple of chapters that he doesn't have full control either. There are times where his biology takes over and he becomes the alpha. He wasn't trying to rape him, but he did. That's why he hated himself so much afterwards. If you were to look at this in a real life perspective, then biology is no excuse. But this world works off of different rules where pheromones play a huge part in everyday life. Now, from what you've said, Hye-sung is also raped Dojin that night that Hye-sung got pregnant. Dojin didn't force him to keep the baby. He only asked him to consider it. He asked him to think about it. So when Hye-sung brought him the contract, he signed it immediately.
