i need to know if im the only one who struggle and i don't mean that lightly, it gen takes everything in me to read mangas (bcs they're mostly b/w+ crowded¿but i mean any bw works in gen) IDK IM SORRY it hurts my eyeballs sb and i feel awful bcs ik there are so many amazing works that im def missing out on, altho i do manage to read some but they're mostly short works bcs reading it gives me a headache likeee it's so overstimulating for me i need someone on my side
I have the same problem, but with manhwa/manhuas. The colours are so bright even if I lower my phone's brightness and it hurts my eyes. If I read too many in a short time I even get headaches lmao.
There are also some animes I can't watch either because my eyes hurt and I deadass get migraines from them, so I avoid studio TRIGGER's works (Kill La Kill, Gurenn Lagann etc.) and Devilman Crybaby, couldn't get even past episode 1 due to my eyes hurting.

Same gurl same...I get bad headaches when reading manga and it feels like i wanna gauge my eyeballs out ESPECIALLY when i read at night even with my night lights on (it's actually happening to me rn i just finished reading a manga LMAO)
But i absolutely love manga（/TДT)/ half of the stuff I've read are manga. Manga is life bro, no headache gonna stop me from reading.
Is the problem with your vision or with overcrowded panels? Because if it's vision glasses can make a huge difference. If it's due to too much going on at once then I feel you. Some mangas are lighter than others and have more negative space and silent panels so you could try looking for those. Although the best ones tend to be a mix of heavy dialogue and silent panels imo
I agree w this. But at night I prefer to read the ones with darker parts. I’ve seen one manhwa which has an all black background instead of all white which rly helps my eyeballs out lol. Colored manhwas just hurt to read at night tbh
I just remembered something I do whenever I read manga. I zoom in on the specific section I'm reading and focus on one panel at a time. It helps a lot with small text. I have poor eyesight too and that has been the best way to deal with crowded pages for me
