People come and go, but I’m willing to bet we’ll meet
again in the underworld. Maybe we’ll
even start a hellish book club together,
discussing the finer points of brimstone and
fire. Until then, I’ll just shake my head and
mutter, "See you in hell."
Your scars have been mine from the very start of
the universe. I would rather breathe your
scars and somber solitude until they bloom
through my bones and veins in the name of
Ishq. Your scars feel like a tidal wave of
ecstasy, and you, mon chéri, like ukiyo— a floating world.
Loving you feels like ukiyo, mi amore, floating in giggles and despair forever.

Yll may hate me for this but from the moment I saw Jaeui in the manhwa, I just didn't like his character at all. Ik he's a genius with idgaf attitude but the way he treats his own twin, Taeui is completely unacceptable to me!
When Rahman threatened to kill Taeui, what did Jaeui say? "If he dies I die too" the thing is, Jaeui doesn't give a damn about anyone except himself lol. And in the novel, when Taeui got beaten up by Rahman's soldiers, Jaeui acted completely normal and didn't even ask for ointment for him, a servant was the one who gave Taeui the ointment anway that part was changed in the manhwa.
And don't come at me saying that Jaeui loved Taeui. Because of Jaeui, Taeui suffered a lot and i my opinion, Jaeui just used him for his own motives and that's it!
Im so happy that he and rahman doesn't have their own book
Idk man, what do u want jaeui to do? Become iron man and kill everyone? He doesn't look like he can beat up anyone. He's a genius but his strength could not even take down a woman. He kinda sucks
Nope, I didn't ask/want Jaeui to do anything extraordinary... the bare minimum he could have done was be a better older brother. To me, he just used Taeui because Taeui was his Gilsangcheon. He should have told him everything before cutting that thread. And tbh the only thing that guy ever did for our Taeui was cut that freaking thread and even then, it didn't really help... no, actually it did do something — it sent Taeui into Unhrdo and made him suffer even more there... :)
I love Ilay (very much) for Taeui but Taeui has suffered so much because of the psychos around him and because of his brother too...
Give me an example of bare minimum. Jaeui and Taeui are powerless against men who are raised how to shoot and kill ever since they were a kid. Jaeui and Taeui only had like 2 years military experience not enough to take down grown men who have years of experience. Do u want jaeui to negotiate with rahman, by giving conditions? What makes u think rahman will immediately give in?
Why are you being so defensive over a side character? Lmfao???? And read it again, "And in the novel, when Taeui got beaten up by Rahman's soldiers, Jaeui acted completely normal and didn't even ask for ointment for him, a servant was the one who gave Taeui the ointment anway that part was changed in the manhwa."
Now where the fuck did I ever say that Jaeui had to fight? I never mentioned that at all. My point was about his lack of concern for Taeui, not whether he should've fought anyone
Brother, do u fucking think at all? Hesus Christ
And you seem very stupid to me
It is the same for me too
I dislike both Jaeui and their uncle
They treat taeui like a game's pawn, not like a family member
So I am grateful that taeui has Ilay who is his one and only
I keep seeing the issue of ointment cropping up and I don't think that's the most important takeaway. In the novel, yes, a servant is the one to bring Taeui medicine, but there's zero indication that Jaeui wouldn't do the same. By the time Jaeui sees his brother, he already has some.
In fact, the first time Jaeui brings up leaving is after seeing Taeui's condition which would imply concern for his well-being. Taeui and Jaeui do not communicate well with each other, leading to misunderstandings, but there's no denying the care underneath it all.
Brother, you seem done over this exchange. Did u give up halfway?
Dou think this is the first time Jaeui got kidnapped? He probably did the same thing Taeui did but he got screwed over. Also do u think if Jaeui asks his kidnapper ointment nicely, do u think, he will give it to him? Do u think he's on vacation in Saudi? Do u ever bother thinking at all. Be careful who u call stupid, the call is coming from the inside.
"Brother, you seem done over this exchange. Did u give up halfway?"
Again you're proving my point that you're stipid bc what I'm saying is completely going over your head. I'm not hating Jaeui, I'm simply saying that I dislike his character. Me disliking a side character made you this sensitive? Lol.
Rahman didn't mistreat Jaeui at all. Despite kidnapping him for months, he gave Jaeui a luxurious life. He let him go outside to the marketplace, provided him with books, respected his boundaries and gave him enough freedom.
Also Jaeui and Rahman would even meet at night just to talk. In Chapter 128, Jaeui talks about his childhood and realizes that the person he thought was Rahman was actually Taeui.
"He probably did the same thing Taeui did but he got screwed over."
If you mean that Jaeui tried to struggle and got screwed over then you're clearly wrong. In Chapter 125, it's explicitly stated that Jaeui never tried to escape because he found the place "comfortable"
"Also do u think if Jaeui asks his kidnapper ointment nicely, do u think, he will give it to him? Do u think he's on vacation in Saudi?"
If Rahman could give Jaeui whatever he wanted, I'm pretty sure he could provide some mere ointment for his own twin right? No, he wasn't on vacation but he was definitely receiving luxurious treatment from Rahman.
"Do u ever bother thinking at all. Be careful who u call stupid, the call is coming from the inside."
If I wasn't thinking, I wouldn't have written my previous comments. I've read both the manhwa and the novel to make sure I wasn't saying something incorrect.
Again, I never said Jaeui shpuld be fighting anyone or do anything extraordinary. I'm simply saying that showing concern for his twin brother is the bare minimum.
And earlier, you said "Jaeui and Taeui only had like 2 years military experience"
Nope. Jaeui never served in the military. And every time Jaeui was kidnapped, he came back safe obviously because of Taeui is his Gilsangcheon.
Anyway, I think it's best to end this discussion here because we clearly won't agree. I respect your opinion even if you can't accept mine.
I hope what you're saying is correct bc honestly, I don't know... to me, Jaeui and Uncle never really felt like they "cared" at least not in an obvious way. I've only read the Passion novel so far and I'm thinking about reading DS too, I want to see how things develop between Jaeui and Taeui and where their relationship goes from there...
Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Jaeui doesn't tell Taeui what he's thinking half the time, Chang-in takes advantage of Taeui to further his own goals, and it feels like Taeui constantly gets the short end of the stick, but the twins love each other unconditionally. Taeui and Jaeui both prioritize each other pretty much whenever they can even though Jaeui seems cold when you only view his words or lack thereof.
DS contains significant milestones for Iltae's relationship and Suite has a lot of emotional payoff if you manage to stick with the series after the first novel's ending which can be unsatisfying. Either way, I hope you enjoy whatever you read no matter how far you go. o/
You clearly don't respect my opinion.
"Rahman didn't mistreat Jaeui at all. Despite kidnapping him for months, he gave Jaeui a luxurious life. He let him go outside to the marketplace, provided him with books, respected his boundaries and gave him enough freedom."
Probably because rahman wanted something out of Jaeui.
Yeah I know that
