I wonder if I actually skip reading about the namgoong become blue rank while he was a white rank when he first enter, and when mc back to the desolate fortress the namgoong suddenly become blue rank, why?
They didn't show the white chimera's promotion, but he briefly mentioned he became a blue through the more usual means (not speed running achievements like mc). It can be difficult to tell the times since its not always expressly said and more implied, but I believe mc has been there going on 6 months to a year now. Namgoong did indeed also advance very quickly through his own high talent level and skill. He took whats sort of mentioned to be 6 months or more to reach blue, while mc advanced after only like maybe two or three months. Of course these are only my conjectures and not hard facts, just based on the limited mentions from mc. I recently reread from the beginning to now, so the plot and dialogues are decently fresh in my mind. Sorry for the wall of text, I'm struggling a bit to explain what I think more directly and concisely.
