Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you are in a much better place now. Wishing you peace of mind, good health, and a heart at ease. May you breathe easy. I pray that the wars, the violence towards civilians, and all the unrest and unease in the world will soon be resolved.
best regards,
sincerely Mikkie.
Mine is when webtoons go all-out on gorgeous costumes but forget the coachman on the carriage! It's like they're saying, "Look at these amazing dresses!" but the carriage is just magically floating along. Unless it's a self-driving carriage (the Tesla of the webtoon world!), it just throws me out of the story. Anyone else feel this way?
Mine is when the female lead is called plain or ugly by npcs ,but she literally has gem like eyes , and looks like an angel . Like how am I supposed to believe she’s plain if the artist is drawing sparkles around her every chapter ?? Also I hate when the female lead gets back with her demon of a husband, she reincarnates and swears she’ll hate him for good reasons , then falls for him again .

Genuinely curious to know. To one person it might be a question of morality, to another it is a question of quality.
For me it is definitely the latter. Quality has always been my gauge to measure how good a piece of media is. I'm mostly open to all genres of media (the only exception being music which I'm really choosy about), but I drop them easily if they start to bore me. I do give second/third chances in hopes that there is still something to salvage...though I do that very selectively.
If it romanticises/sexualises rape/incest/pedophilia I'm not even gonna bother reading it, if it starts to be fucking boring or features any of the above 40 chapters into the story I drop it like a hot potato.
To me it's probably artstyle, I had so many manhwas I liked but once an artist change happens (usually for the worse) it kills completely my interest for it. The same happens with videogames, I can't play something I find ugly
when they brush off SA or rape like it's nothing instead of confronting the sexual offender and when the story gets repetitive or has too much miscomunication i hate the miscomunication trope
