Probably. But they probably tried to shorten the novel version (skip over details) which made it messy. I remember dropping this at chap 40smth a long long time ago and just finished it. It’s still a good read but yeah, S2 isn’t as good as S1

It is a happy ending. This is just me but the novel spend too much time on making the plot with long unwinded miscommunication. Around 30++ chapters. That's why I decided not to pick this us. But if you're invested you can always pick up the novel or continue with it. No shame on it.
