Nei Li has gone undercover using the identity and looks of some small time demon from back on the Little World. He's infiltrated some big time demon world and gotten into one of their secret realms where some deadly competition was going on but the "holy son" of that world is, naturally, a dick and trying to kill everyone in the realm in order to power up or something. Nei Li has been running w/ a couple of demon girls to keep his cover but is getting mixed up in deals and threats between major demon sect leaders and such. Currently, he's making his way down to the lowest level of some weird space so that he can disconnect some douchebag's soul from it to keep him from endlessly reviving.
You've missed way more than that since the author has been pumping out a chapter a week or so all along and it's been 6 years since the pandemic started.. so like 300 chapters I'd guess.
I didnt expect to enjoy this story as much as i did. Potential bl plot is crazy i wonder how their lives would’ve been like if shuuji acknowledged his feelings and he didnt die right then and there

alicia pretends to be paula and tries to fool everyone but both violet and ethan know who "paula" truly is and eventually vincent himself finds out too it's very cute, vincent may be a little cold at the beginning but he's really sweet to paula even when he's not sure abt her identity

yeah that’s what i’m thinking? his other senses heightened, especially his hearing, but honestly i have a hard time distinguishing voices irl too. for some reason, it’s easier for me to distinguish who’s who when someone records their voice but if im faced away and someone from behind me starts talking, i wouldn’t know who it’d be until i see their face but im sure he’d eventually realize in the tone and small inflections in her voice, to her gestures and personality traits that it’s paula!
I think it’s cuz ur senses are heightened when u can’t see, but when u can see they’re dulled. I think someone said that the novel mentions how Vincent said his other senses became dulled after he got his sight back or smth, not 100% sure but that would make sense because when you lose 1 sense the rest of the other sense gets stronger to make up for the lost one i think-
Also I heard from other comments that many people pretended to be Paula and even imitated her voice, so he’s more cautious about it now and won’t automatically trust it’s her from the voice.
yeah i think alicia tries to pretend to be paula but she sucks at it and shes a terrible person so

This is what i love about this story. Not everything is just black and white. I was wondering why he wanted iruma out of the demon world so badly. Who knew his father would be a madman??? Now that it’s public that iruma’s a human he is certainly not safe from a LOT of demons..
I agree Nishi-sensei is a very good story-teller! The plot and character developments are so nuanced that we are kept glued to our seats with the plot twists while laughing at the characters' shenanigans.
When I discovered season 1 of the anime years ago, I watched it because I just needed to waste an hour of my time. I was pleasantly surprised to see how good the anime was (not just animation quality but story-wise) so I started reading the manga. Read this several times now!
