In the OG timeline, even after being brought back to the main house, the secretary manipulated his father into doubting ML's paternity, so no one looked out for him. By the time his father confirmed he was his biological son, it was too late, ML had already become cold and calculating.
In this timeline, MC intervened early by warning the father to verify ML's paternity upfront, so he received care much sooner.
