Two friends start living together. The MC uke overhears their neighbour having sex, and a guy calling out a name (might be Jun-Chan?) and uke presumes it's a man and a woman. When he then sees Jun-Chan in person he's shocked to find out their neighbours are gay.
The ML seme already likes the MC uke, and is bracing himself for living with him while liking him. They go for drinks next door with the neighbours and the neighbours suggest MC & ML should be dating. They then get all shy.
At one point the MC uke goes for a walk with next-door seme, making the ML seme jealous. I think he finds them in the rain and tries to take him home.
Also the ML seme has been texting next-door uke for advice, and this makes main uke jealous.

It's set in an all boys school, and the uke is strong but very cute. He's very popular and hit on a lot because he's cute at an all boys school, but he's strong and rejects everyone.

The seme is a tall and unpopular loner who loves animals and just hangs out in the science block looking after animals.
Seme slowly "tames" the uke that he sees like a disgruntled cat. Uke sleeps with his head in the seme's lap etc.
I also remember specifically that the uke goes to the seme's house for 'third day curry' and that's when they sleep together.

I watched the anime first when I was around Kyoko's age too. Back then all the shoujo I was watching had MLs similar in age to the FLs, so Ren being 20 felt too old for me. Now I feel like an auntie watching these kids fumbling through romance. (╥﹏╥)

Personally I can't help but still love it haha nostalgy might be clouding my judgment but I've been rereading it every year for ten years at this point and I can't get enough of it !! It's not perfect by any means but there's something very comforting about it imo
It just infuriates me that when two characters start a conversation, I know it's going to take like 3 chapters before that conversation ends aha. And with this manga, that means 3 months. To have a CONVERSATION. It's so glacially slow i've forgotten 95% of the plot points
