Because the king kind of look like his related to her,maybe an uncle judging by the eye colour.and also it is mentioned that the fml mom was a princess.i read a spoiler saying she was abused by her mom and she hated the beastkin and that played a huge role into fml dad hating on the beastkin.i myt be wrong though
The mum was engaged to the King from my memory but ran away. Don't remember why the dad hates the beastkin as its been a long time since i read the beginning of this but hopefully what ive already answered helps (=・ω・=)

Honestly, only reason he’s nice is cuz he’s obsessed with mc n thinks shes his wife, while also having no memories. N memories basically make u who u r at present. So it kinda makes sense that he switches up when he regains them. We’ve known since the beginning he’s not a good person, I mean bro was burying someone n literally tried to kill mc. N even while being obsessed with her while having no memories… u can see the cracks in his moral compass show at times. Mc knows all this n its y she’s always so scared, but she’s decided to give in to temptation. He’s always been a black flag. Btw he’s alrdy assaulted her (by not listening to her when she kept saying no). But I do get where ur coming from, cuz a lot of manhwas r doing that thing where a green flag just suddenly SA’s the other or does smthn rlly bad to them n shit… its either that or they’re a black flag from the start. The former is still annoying cuz it gives u false hope… sometimes without even hinting at how bad that character is like in this one.
