On one side the ML is shaming and abusing MC verbally and sexually every chance he got, to the point where anyone with a brain would've shown some self respect and walked away. He's harassing MC even in his work, in front of people, there's not a single sentence that comes out of his mouth that's not pure humiliation. And don't even come with the BS of "oh, he's just directing his anger cause of the misunderstanding", he's not 5 years of age anymore, that's no way to treat a human being.
On the other side there's MC who already had hundreds of chances of clearing up said misunderstanding, he have messages of red hair blackmailing him with stuff about ML, but naaah, he repeats hundreds of times "i can explain", "it's a misunderstanding" and never actually say anything. He just had to show it "here take a look at this, I'm his errand boy cause he got dirt on you, asshole" it's not that hard, just sit and talk it out. But nooooooo he has to be a puppy begging for scraps 24/7. the ML presents a deal to use him as a hole and he says "yeah let's go for it ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ i mean it's better than nothing... Right?", BRUH.
And this misunderstanding doesn't even make sense at the first place. ML saw red hair abuse MC, he saw MC have nightmares about red hair, he saw how scummy red hair is... why would he believe it? Why not give MC a chance to explain? All that drama over a phone call? Really? And then ML conveniently vanish into thin air? And after years they reunite, he sees MC having a miserable life, he even says so, and he think it was all a plan to mock him?
"oh I'll live a miserable life to attract rich guys and live off of them while mocking them with my red hair lover who has money and abuses me, so when i get uncovered I'll go back to being miserable again to find another rich guy and repeat the process" WTF, the gymnastics going on inside ML head to come up with this is amazing.
In this omegaverse pheromones fluctuations apparently messes with your performance, so organizations need ML to have them always in control. This is stated by the doctor last episode, ML's manager, and even MC himself.
So, ML clearly sees sex a means so satisfy pheromones and nothing more, he doesn't have sex most of the time because he likes it, but because, like he (and the doctor) said, it's the effective way to deal with it. So he separated love from sex, almost completely. Most people he sleeps with, is out of necessity, and he let them go right after. So his statement means "I don't want to lose my only friend over this, you need to still stay with me when this is over, okay?" cause he cares about the MC, apparently a lot. Again he didn't even want to sleep with him in the first place, cause for him sex isn't love, is pheromones bullshit that he has to deal with.
MC doesn't know his perspective, he thinks ML just likes to sleep around and not settle with anyone (basically a playboy). So, for MC, ML is friend zoning him, this same statement is heard as "I'm not good enough to be his boyfriend, just his friend, and that won't change even after this is over".
We're only learning MC's perspective on this, but the author is leaving sudden hints of ML perspective as well, just pay attention to it. From MC perspective of course this is painful, unfair, cruel. But at the same time ML is unaware of MC's feelings, MC never confessed. ML never meant to hurt him, on the contrary, he is pissed that MC has to make the sacrifice in this situation. It will take time until ML realizes he's liking sex with MC not because of pheromones bullshit, but because he likes him.
They're finally addressing the core issue in their relationship. It's Jooan's fault that he didn't care to know Seojoon for who he is, but it's also Seojoon's fault for not being open to show his feelings in front of Jooan.
How is Jooan supposed to know him when all Seojoon showed him was the part he created to cater Jooan's expectations and needs, on the other hand Jooan took everything Seojoon did for him at face value and didn't question any of it.
Both are to blame for this. At least after all this time they're communicating and their relationship can finally get some progress.
I think if you're in love with your bestfriend who has been in love with someone for almost their whole life, you'll feel helpless with your feelings and just hide it, catering to your friend because you think this is the only way you can be with them. It's cruel to say that its seojoon fault for not showing his feelings, when the only thing his holding onto is being his friend and secreatry. He can be afraid that their relationship will be destroyed.
The thing is, he wasn't in love with the MC, he was in love with the idea of him. He held those memories dear, and put all his expectations and emotional needs in that person in his memories, believing that when they met again MC would fuffil all he imagined MC would be. Not only MC didn't fuffil his expectations and needs, he was already with someone else. This isn't love, is just a reflexion of Jooan's expectations.
On the other hand, you there are two things about love that you're not taking into account. 1. Love is multifaceted, you have platonic love, familial love, romantic love and so on.
2. Love can change, you can become best friends with someone you were once romantically involved with, and fall in love with someone you before considered close to you like family, love is not stagnant.
What Jooan and Seojoon have is what real love is, Jooan loves Seojoon, but it wasn't romantic, cause all his emotional expectations were placed in MC. While Seojoon love is romantic but he never made any romantic advances on his friend. But Seojoon means so much to Jooan that when ML says that it's better to let Seojoon go and be with someone else it pisses him off, but he doesn't know why yet. For him Seojoon was always "my good old friend that will always be by my side"... So now he's putting in the effort to figure it out, what is this he's feeling and if this can be romantic love so that hopefully Seojoon can stay.
And sorry to break it to you, but even if your friend already has someone he likes, if you love him and want to make it known you have to confess. People aren't mind readers, and the way each person perceives your actions is different. You can choose to hide it, but then you can't blame them for not knowing. Same thing with your preferences, you can't always pick fried chicken for dinner cause your friend likes it and expect him to know you prefer salad instead. If from the start you always pick chicken he'll probably think "wow! good thing we like the same kind of food", so you can't blame him for not questioning it.
For communication to happen one side has to be willing to voice it over, and the other has to be willing to not just hear it, but to listen. And that's what's happening right now with these two.
Okay thanks about the explanation about love is multifaceted and all. I understand it now from another angle. But you can't just say that communication is the key for seojoon. The use of food for to show similarities is not a great example. There is a consequence if he speak up about his love for him, their friendship may end in worst case scenario. Ofcourse I get that there will be nothing done if he didn't speak up, and I think seojoon chose that path as not everyone can be hopeful to be chosen when they know that the person they like have someone else they've like for a long time. Of course as you've explain that the blonde is not in love with the mc which I understand now, its not like seojoon knows that. I'm just saying seojoon should not be blame for not having the courage to speak his feelings. Its just a matter of respecting the blonde's feeling for the mc as well as protect their friendship. Not everyone can bet on losing that you know.

The correct thing to do was tell enid everything (he was smart since childhood, the director said so himself) and ask him for the money, and IF he was okay with it save the children and after that give ALL the credits and praises to him. Tell people "those children were saved cause this rich orphan kid used his money to save them", and if not all the money was used, give him back the remaining amount. Same thing with the other kids he did this to. He took all the credit, told nothing to anyone, and felt justified by it cause it was "the right thing to do" even building his reputation as a "saint". He did the right thing in the scummiest, dirtiest, most horrible way possible.

Cause sometimes they say that ML imprinted on MC and MC on duke villain, but then in episodes like this one ML says he'll imprint on MC, and MC says he'll not let that happen for it not to be one sided, but he should already have imprinted based on previous episodes. So what is happening here?
Not sure, but I understood that the Duke current imprinted on the blonde (mc).
In the 1st time line the ML did imprint on the MC, but now ML wasn't able to imprint on blonde.
Blonde lied that the himself imprint on the ML to sabe ML live (to conceal the truth that the Duke imprinted on blonde)

This should've been a new series with new characters. It's not that the story is bad, it's just that the characters and the vibe are completely different from the "original", it doesn't feel like CBAW at all. These two characters doesn't feel like taesung and haebom to me, from the decisions they make to the way they react to things, everything feels weird.
Also CBAW had it's dose of prejudice toward the main couple's relationship and dark undertones but never to this extent. The "original" was much lighter, brighter, warm and hopeful, it was the type of story you read to feel warm inside, this gloomy and noir atmosphere came out of nowhere.
It feels like the author was too afraid to release a new work after the success of CBAW so they decided to bring their new ideas for a series using the characters we already love. Problem is that this new story doesn't make any sense with the setting we've already had.
