Guys almost 3 years later and im rereading the first chap and i just realized why its called "lost in the cloud" -_-
you have enlightened me.
Real (I still have no idea)
in the beginning the pc folder in which skylar saves all the pictures of orange guy is called cloud. along with the lost pictures in that cloud file after cirrus' intervention, similarly lost became him and skylar later on. the folder incident marked their first meeting and determined the course of their journey.
being in each other's company made them question their feelings and reconsider their values ultimately causing them to let their mind wonder about in the clouds, both hoping for a better future (e.g. cirrus living in a better environment whilst realising his first earnest friend is skylar, acknowledging the happiness that'll derive from being w him and skylar overcoming his trauma, finally living in peace and getting over orange guy with whom he's got no chances).
